another belated birthday gift to my main gorl!
---
When they first started dating almost everyone came to Alex, questioning if she thought Yoongi really loved her. Her response would always be the same.
'Yeah what makes up think he doesn't?'
It wasn't that Yoongi was cold hearted, it was just, he did necessarily show affection the way that most people would understand.
She was the more affectionate one, always holding on to him, or kissing him whispering how much she loves him, while he would hold her hand when he felt necessary, initiate a kiss here and there but that was it as far as physical affection.
But he'd cook for her, surprise her with shopping trips every now and then, only say he loved her if she said it first and it wasn't like there were complaints in the bedroom.
It's not like he couldn't give affection it's just, he felt awkward doing so. And he thanked his lucky stars that Alex understood that because it was actually a big insecurity for him. Alex was his first girlfriend that past the six month mark. But even still he'd find himself doing a bit more any way that he could just to make sure she knew how much he loved her.
So finally they somehow survived 365 days with each other and they've never felt happier. Normally couples would exchange gifts or go out to celebrate but in the beginning of the relationship Yoongi made it known that he absolutely did not do anniversaries.
He'd acknowledge it, but after that there were no gifts not nothing. Alex pouted about it for weeks but she ultimately understood and let Yoongi have his way, though she got him to take her out for breakfast and for the restaurant to write 'Happy Anniversary' on his stack of pancakes.
They made it back to apartment after some grocery shopping and Yoongi relaxed on the couch as Alex took the groceries to the kitchen.
"Baby?" She called as she made her way over to him.
"Can you fold the laundry while I make us lunch?" He nodded taking the bag from her hands and she beamed as she kissed him. "Thank you I love you."
"Love you too." He grinned as he sent her wink. "After lunch I want you in that bedroom."
"Only if you do the dishes." She called back. "And take Holly for a walk."
"Holly can wait! He has a bladder of steel! And why am I gonna wash dishes if we have a dishwasher! You barely use that thing!" He ranted.
"Just fold the clothes thank you!" She laughed from the kitchen.
He mumbled to himself with a small smile on his face as he began to fold clothes on the couch. His favorite crime show was his distraction until he felt something hard in the laundry bag.
He peeled eyes off from the television to see a green envelope on at the bottom of the bag. "This girl," he sighed knowing exactly who placed it there.
He opened it taking out the letter written in pink and red pen and shook his head slightly as he began reading.
To my baby boy Yoongles,
You said no cards or anything for our anniversary so technically this a letter. But I really couldn't help myself and had to write you something for today. A little over two years ago, you walked into a studio with the boys and thought you guys didn't end up using the song I produced, you told me you liked my work. Two weeks later you asked if it was ok to fly me to Korea to help you work on a song for a couple days. A couple days turned into a week and well we made a little more than music. Next thing I know I'm a signed producer with BigHit and I got my own apartment in a country I've been wanting to go back to. Fast forward six months and I realize I'm spending way too much time with a certain boy who likes to hold hands and is hands down one of the funniest people I've ever met. Somewhere down the line I trapped him into being my boyfriend and my life changed for the better. It's hard to put into words how much I love you Yoongi but you make me feel supreme. Like I found love in its purest form. You knew I had an "interesting" first time in Korea and was hesitant to come back but you made me feel comfortable, you made me feel like I was coming back home. And though everyone has speculations about us and what's real and what's fake, I'm happy we made it to say 365 and I can't wait to reach day 9828359725873485984+ with you. You make me happier than I can ever say and I can only hope I do the same for you.
I love you

Whichever way you wanna say it, just know that I love you and more baby.

Alex...and Holly because we both love the shit out of you.
Yoongi couldn't help but smile at the letter in his hands. If only she knew how much he loved her. He wouldn't even call it love she was so dear to him. He peered in the kitchen watching as she worked her magic on the stove and placed the papers down on the couch before getting up.
He kissed her cheek wrapping his arms around her tiny waist, and resting his cheek on her shoulder.
"I love you Alexandra. I love you more than you'll ever know."
Alex smiled to herself. It felt kind of weird hearing him be the first one to not only say it, but to also hold her like this. She wasn't complaining though as she rubbed his hands.
"I love you too Yoongi."
