'Drew, I don't know if I can trust you again. It hurt so much when you dumped me. I want to try, but if I really feel like I can't trust you like that. You need to respect that, okay?' 'Of course. We will still be friends.' 'Thanks.' I kiss her deeply and she moans into my mouth. 'You missed me?' 'Of course. You're the greatest person ever.' I flick my tongue against her neck shortly before sucking on it. 'We need to get a room like this.' I kiss her collar bone before turning my head to kiss her wrist and flick my tongue against it. Her eyes grow wide. 'Let's go.' She pulls me upstairs. I was at her house to talk about our relationship. 'Are you sure?' 'Totally.' 'Okay.' She throws me on the bed and hovers above me. Our shirts are off before I can notice it and I turn us around. I place kisses from her neck to her waistband. 'You sure, right?' 'Yeah. I trust you.' I lick just above her trousers. 'Alright then.' I grin as I hear her moan.

I was her first girl and it kind of was alright, but I can't say it was the greatest sex I ever had. It was some better than mediocre. Beth is a lot better than her. But she just needs to learn, I think. The only realization I had, was that I couldn't do this. I couldn't be hers. I've done this with so many girls even during our relationship. I'm too broken to be healed. I sigh. I need to do this before I ruin her. 'Can we just stay friends?' 'What do you mean?' 'What I said.' 'But, you told me you loved me.' 'And I do. I love you. But not as my girlfriend. I wanted to try if it would work out. It isn't. I don't feel any different.' I shrug and I get dressed again. 'W-What?' 'I'm sorry, Drew, but this wouldn't work. I'm really sorry.' I kiss her forehead and leave the house. I almost got every girl in the school and I shouldn't have. Some girls really hold onto their straightness, others are just ugly. And I'm perfectly fine with that. I drive back to Beth and walk through the front door. She comes running down and scans me. 'You fucked her.' 'Yes, so?' She looks kind of upset with me. 'I didn't thought you would do that.' 'Beth, you ought to know me by now.' 'What do you mean?' 'I thought you would know by now that I will fuck everything before breaking up.' 'So you did break up with her?' I need to find an excuse. What would I normally say? 'Yeah, she was like kind of bad and I know we had just needed to stay friends from the beginning.' 'Serious?' 'Yes.' 'Finally.' She pulls me in for a kiss, but it turns out to be more. Much, much more. And I love that Beth would just agree with me without any talking.

'Miss Evans, you need to join a after school club.' 'What why?' 'You've missed too many lessons. You need to join one of the clubs to graduate this year.' 'For the last semester? You must be kidding me?' 'No, you need to join next year too.' 'But there are no clubs needing players anymore!' 'Yes, there actually is.' 'And what is that?' 'The girl's basketball team.' 'No.' 'Yes.' 'Uh, why do you think I can play that? I'm not even that tall!' 'No, but they need one girl, because one got injured during practice. You get a jacket and clothing for practice and games. Next year you can choose for yourself, but for now, you only have the basketball team.' 'Nice, a whole semester sitting on a bench.' 'Your training is Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Games are on Saturday. And you just need to talk to them about it. Today practice is right after school.' 'Nice.' I stand up and walk out of the principal office. 'I will check up on you!' 'Good for you!' Sighing I take a seat next to Dylan. 'Why did you need to go to the office?' 'I need to join the basketball team.' 'You're kidding, right?' 'Nope, sadly not.' He erupts in laughter. 'I know, I know.' The teacher shoots us a look, but continues teaching.

The whole group begins to laugh. Of course, who sees me as someone who plays basketball. I'm like 5'8 feet and totally not tall or strong. Maybe a little strong, but that's it. 'What's so funny?' Beth takes the freedom to place herself on my lap. Alright. I see the jealous look in Drew's eyes and the grin on Beth's face. She wants to rub it in Drew's face that she has me. It kind of hurts. 'I need to join the girl's basketball team.' 'Wait? You?' 'Yes, me.' She giggles shortly before leaning against my shoulder. 'I think you need to join the popular table then.' 'Never,' I chuckle. I know she was serious, but I can't. These are my friends. 'But you have practice this afternoon, right?' 'Yeah.' 'Can you drive me home then?' 'Yeah, sure.' 'Thanks, sweetie.' She kisses me out of the blue and it's kind of rough. Rougher than normal. And I don't like it on this moment. She tries to be dominant, but I bite her lower lip. She whimpers and pulls back. 'Go back to your table, Beth.' She swallows and walks away on a fast pace. She got it, luckily. Drew seems relieved now Beth's gone. 'Uh, Quinn, care to explain why the head of the cheers came to sit on your fucking lap?' I look at Drew. I will save her the hurt. 'Drew broke up with me during that party on Saturday for reasons. I slept at Beth's, because I was too drunk to go home alone. Sunday we spend the whole day together, because it hurt like a bitch. She kissed me, trying to cheer me up or something and now she thinks she's my girlfriend or something.' 'Oh, alright.' Drew flashes me a short smile before standing up and probably walking towards her locker. I let her walk away. Everybody turns to me when she's out of the auditorium.'What was the reason?' 'I may have said that I loved her with my whole heart and said a different name. While we had a discussion just before it about her. But I was wasted. Well, after it I totally was.'

'You must be the newbie. Here are your clothes.' The coach pushes a stack of clothes into my hands. 'Put the red one on and come back then.' I shrug and change while the other girls are already getting into the gym. I hear them whisper about the new kid and many already know my name or say the lesbian. I already love my teammates. Sarcasm of course. I walk into the gym. 'Have you ever played basketball before?' 'Never.' 'Shoot this ball into that hoop. I don't really care how.' I've seen some people do this, so I try it like real basketball players always do. And it surprises me and the coach when it goes through. 'Oh wow.' 'You sure you never played?' 'Yeah.' 'Well, that was pretty good.' 'Thanks?' The coach two-finger whistles and a tall girl appears next to her. I have never seen her before. 'Yes, coach?' 'Olivia, this is our newbie. And I want you to shoot hoop with her. Newbie, this is your captain.' She stretches out her hand and I only look at it. Forget it. I will not shake hands with this giant. 'Okay. Come on, let's play.' She grabs the ball out of coach's hands and throws it. I stand at her place and also throw through the basket. 'Okay.'

We throw and both of us haven't missed yet. The whole team watches. The team exists of seven people, including me. I'm getting tired of this game. She throws and hits the basket again. I throw and miss on purpose. 'Yes! I won!' Her teammates cheer for her. I wouldn't expect less actually. The coach takes my arm and pulls me aside. 'You missed on purpose.' 'No, I didn't.' 'Yes, you did. Don't fight with me, Evans. You're on the team. Next practice you get your jacket.' We go back to the group. 'Okay, girls, do the warming-up and throw some balls. You know the drill.'

I see Beth in her cheer uniform on the bleachers with a high ponytail. What I would do to kiss her right now. She looks so damn good. 'Yo! Evans!' I wink at Beth before focusing back on the game we were playing. I get the ball, dribble and throw. Bang! The captain is in the other team. She growls something to her team about not wanting to lose from the noob. 'The scores are even. The loser will run ten laps around the basketball field and do thirty pushups,' Olivia orders with a challenging look at me. We begin to play, but practice is almost over. I catch the ball and throw it at Robbins before getting tackled by Olivia. 'What the fuck, man!' I push her off me. 'Sorry alright, don't be so offended.' 'Ball to Evans' team.' Robbins passes the ball to me, I jump and throw, but when I expect to land, someone pushes me a little bit and I land wrong. I look up to see Olivia grinning at me. 'You motherfucker! I twisted my ankle because of you!' 'Ey! We don't talk to teammates like that! Ten laps go!' 'I can't run because of that bitch!' 'Ey! Shut it, right now! It's your captain. Some respect is in place, hm?' 'Not for a dog like that.' 'Okay, you're done. Go change. I will speak with you after we're done.' 'Sure. You can suck it. Fuck this shit, I'm out.' I pull the jersey over my head and throw it on the floor. 'Unbelievable, Evans! Some respect for your team!' 'You know what, fuck you. Fuck you all. You're just some pathetic people that I don't need. So fuck off.' I limp back to the locker rooms and feel that someone follows me. 'What's up, Beth?' I kick my shoes away and change in my normal clothes. 'Quinn, that was some heavy shit.' 'I know.' 'You shouldn't have reacted like that.' 'You know that it's my car right? And I'm bloody knackered. So don't get in an argument right now.' 'Okay.' I grab my leather jacket and walk out of the school with Beth on my heels. My ankle hurts but I will just walk through it. I'm not going for a pity party and I will not be seen as weak. 'You know you need to go to practice again Wednesday hm?' 'I don't go.' 'Okay.' She sighs. 'What?' 'I don't want you to be held back this year, Quinn.' I turn around to her to cup het cheek. 'Beauty, I will not be held back this year.' 'You promise?' 'Yeah.' 'Great.' She kisses my cheek before we go into my car.
