Chapter Three

Maya's P.O.V

My mind is completely blank I am shocked it's like my brain stopped working, I'm sitting here trying not to look up at the guy I've never seen before maybe I have and I just never notice anyway I tried to get out of there as fast as I can only to be reminded that there's only one door where he is so I am forced to pass him after he just saw me pouring my heart into the song. I just hope he doesn't make fun of me because of the song. I just walked past him hoping he won't start talking to me until I hear footsteps behind me well I'm screwed.

"Um, your singing was great."

Oh shit he's talking to me I thought I could get out of this I guess not well here goes nothing.

"Thanks" I try to get out of there as fast as I can but no he catches up to me I'm assuming he's still trying to talking to me I guess I can talk to him without giving too much information about myself I just have to get through what a 5 second conversation I just have to get it over with as fast as I can 

"I'm Josh. by the way, Josh Matthews" 

"Maya" 

"Well, Maya do you have a last name or are you one of those people who just have one name." He smiles trying to lighten up the mood he's smile I don't know what was about his smile that was so contagious that I had to smile back at him.

"Hart Maya Hart"

"Oh, so you do have a last name I thought I was gonna have to search up every Maya in New York but thank you for telling me because you just saved me a lot of time." The way he laughed was also contagious just like his smile it made me laugh to this is weird a guy has never made me laugh or smile so easily I usually just ignore them just as I wanted to continue talking to him I see the halls starting to fill up ugh why did it happen to me.

"Ah Josh I gotta"

"Yeah no I get it I'll see you later" I just nodded at him as I walked away I didn't want people to notice for his sake that we were talking I don't want them to think he was talking to me for pity because I have no friends I prefer to be alone friends would give me hope cause hope is for suckers I just be saving myself from disappointment.

Josh's P.O.V

I'm Josh Matthews I'm a senior at Abigail Addams High right now at this very moment I am completely blown away at her performance at how she gave her everything into that song it's like if I felt her pain through her voice. As soon as she looked up and I saw those gorgeous blue eyes all I wanted to do is to get to know her and help her to make sure she never feels that pain ever again. I think so notice that I was staring at her for too long she gets up and leaves right past me it's like my brain wasn't working as I watched her walk away I had to catch up to her she's a lot shorter than me so it was kinda easy for me to catch up to her I don't know why I'm so nervous talking to her.

"Um, your singing was great."

Really 'Um your singing was great' are you kidding me her singing was more then great it was amazing what was I thinking why couldn't think of something better

"Thanks

Come on Josh your losing her start the conversation off easy figure out who she is.

"I'm Josh, by the way, Josh Matthews"

"Maya" 

"Well, Maya do you have a last name or are you one of those people who just a one name." When she looked at me I smiled she is so gorgeous I can't believe I manage to make her smile I'm so glad I did because her smile is amazing.
