Alonso sat at his desk scrolling through case files, he had just had to yell at King for trying to skip school, sent his ass right back there. He has been trying to keep his mind busy because one of his recent cases— lets say sadly you can't help every kid; you can try but not everyone is ready to be helped. Alonso being the type of person he was took it personally. He shouldn't have but he did. There was a small knock on the door and then it opened only to show his assistant, Valerie. Alonso had known the girl for maybe 11 years now, she worked as his assistant and taking on and helping smaller cases then him and naturally they became sort of friends. The word sort of must hover over their relationship due to Alonso's Husband. Nassiah doesn't like it at all.
"Now I know you're not in here pouting, Nadeem hopefully will do those two years and come out begging for your guidance" Valerie hummed to the older male. She had her head in the room and most of her body covered by the door she still didn't open all the way. Alonso only let out a small chuckle at her attempt to cheer him up.
