Genacis laughed a bit shaking his head as he continued to talk to a friend and business partner of his. He had met Koda in jail two years ago. The fast life was fast, he went in for robbery and came out a semi new person. He owned a Jewelry shop and found himself working with a lot of high end clientele. But you probably guessed it, that money from the robbery? It surely did start the business up. "Nah man, fuck that- I haven't spoken to him in bout three years" the male spoke as he finished helping a customer
"Yeah I get that, but I say fuck all dat! Ya momma dukes ain't seen you sense you been out and we could either rob the joint or sell mad chains— think of the money" Koda sang as he started to close up.
"Bad memories" was all Genacis could bring up, being left in that hospital with that bogus ass note after he woke up? Oh he pulled a onyx as soon as he stepped out of the hospital. Disappeared for 5 months came back with money, more than made sense. Drugs was too slow, scamming, robbing- he did it all, his behavior only made him distance himself more from the ones like Yonna and Jermian who got ignored by Genacis the day he woke up. When Xavyer and him reached a tough patch when Kendrell kept trying to help him switch paths - he stopped talking to him even if he was dating Xavyer. The argument that ended the two best friends was terrible, the two couldn't even remember why they were even friends. A lot of messy things being thrown back and forth. Genacis didn't need to relive it. That whole year all he could think about why he wasn't worth the effort, the work. He kicked his addiction to xanx in jail. When he received no letters, no money, nothing. So he got out and never looked back.
"Fuck the money" was all he eventually said to Koda who shook his head, Koda was a year older than him, was in jail maybe for 4 years,and was Genacis cellmate. Both had nobody on the outside, Koda not because of his actions but all he had was his mother who had died a year prior to him getting locked up. The two decided they weren't going to be what everyone thought they were- all those late talks, all those brainstorming ideas.
