Harry began studying with Draco almost every day.
The two were usually accompanied by Gregory Goyle and another boy called Crabbe. Harry and Draco would share books, take notes, and try out spells. Crabbe and Goyle would sleep, play cards, and complain about coursework.
Harry loved his classes at Hogwarts, especially the ones he shared with his friend, Ron. The one exception, of course, was Potions, in which Professor Snape seemed to pay special attention to Harry.
"What's his deal?" Ron rolled his eyes. They were packing up their bags, relieved that class was over for the day. "Always in a foul mood! Not to mention, he always picks on you."
Harry shook his head, not knowing what to say. He watched Snape stalk back into his office.
"Anyway, Hermione and I are going to study in the library today. You should join us! She's not actually that bad, and hey, she's helping me pass Potions," Ron smiled sheepishly. He looked up at Harry, who was staring at the ground as he walked.
"You know that I'm already studying with Draco today-" Harry began. To be honest, Draco had become irritable lately. He seemed to really dislike Ron, and Ron didn't seem too fond of him either.
"I don't understand what you see in him, Harry. You're going crazy, I swear. It's probably got something to do with Snape breathing down your neck all the time. Maybe you've been inhaling too much of his hair grease," Ron laughed.
"You're wrong," Harry retorted, then added quickly, "I mean, Draco isn't as bad as he seems. You just have to get to know him."
"Well, he seems like a massive dick," Ron muttered, walking off towards the library. "See you later."
Heading back to the dormitory, Harry thought about what Ron had said. Harry couldn't help it. He liked Draco. Like, really liked him. There was just something about him; he was charming, witty, and had those piercing eyes that brightened when he smiled.
To be honest, Harry watched him get dressed most mornings, his head peeking out from under the blanket to get a quick glimpse of Draco's lean torso.
Harry sank into bed.
Just the other day, he couldn't help but notice when Draco's hand brushed against his in the corridor. Draco probably paid no mind to it, of course. Slouching over a textbook, Harry felt his heart throb when Draco reached over to brush Harry's hair out of his eyes. He thought about the goosebumps that ran all over his body, how he had muttered a soft thanks while blushing, and the way Draco had smiled in return.
Draco. Harry undid his belt and began to unzip his pants. Just as he did so, there was an urgent tap at his window. He groaned, shoving the belt back in its loop. Harry opened the window latch and moved over to allow room for Hedwig, who dropped a piece of parchment onto his pillow. He opened the folded paper.
I wish I could reach out and embrace you, touch you, anything...
Harry felt his stomach drop. He scanned the room, fearing, again, that he was being pranked. Seeing no one, he scribbled back a response.
Who are you?! X Harry
It had been weeks since Harry had received the first note. Since then, he had gotten used to finding a piece of parchment on his pillow when he got back from classes. Some were more specific than others, ranging from You have the sweetest smile to I'd love to put my hands down your pants and watch you squirm as I... (yeah, you get the idea).
Harry got up, stretched, and wandered out into the common room. The letters were beginning to frustrate him. He didn't understand why the person couldn't just come forward. Maybe it's all just a stupid prank.
