Today was the day that Dustin comes back from Camp Know Where I was so happy that he's finally coming back the house felt empty without him I did still have to work today though which kinda did suck but apparently his friends are gonna surprise him once he gets home so at least he'll have something to look forward to I thought to myself

I was waiting at the counter and from afar I can see a kid that looked like my brother as he came closer I realized it was my brother I run out of the store and yell out "Dusty" and go and give him the biggest hug ever "I missed you so much Y/n" he says to me "I missed you too so where are the other knuckle heads" I say "Well I haven't gone home yet I wanted to see you and Steve first" he says "Alright well let's go back so you can see Steve" I say Steve sees Dustin then yells out "Henderson, Henderson" then Dustin starts to chuckle "He's back he's back" he says excited then they do this weird handshake of there's and I just sat there adoring then I was mostly adoring Steve I found it so sweet the way he cares for my brother it just makes me happy seeing him like that towards Dustin, wait hold up what am I sayin I thought to myself do I like Steve? I can't? Can I? my thoughts then drifted when Dustin was trying to catch my attention "Hey Y/n are you gonna give me free ice cream or not" Dustin says "Sure thing shithead" I say and smile at Dustin
I got Dustin some ice cream and we both sat down to talk "So tell me everything that happened at camp" i say with a smile "Well I got myself a girlfriend" he says and I chocked on the water I was drinking "You what" I say shocked "Yeah her names Suzie she's super smart and way hotter than Phoebe Cates" he says to me "Wow she sounds great I'm happy for you Dusty" I say to him genuinely happy for him "Hey uh I gotta go now all my friends are waiting for me at home"he says "Ok well bye have fun" I say and with that he left
Steve's Pov
I was watching Y/n and Dustin talking and for some reason I couldn't help but smile I think i'm falling for Y/n when I really shouldn't be but I can't stop the way I feel it's like each day i'm with her my feelings grow more and more
She then comes up to the the counter "So Dustin got a girlfriend" she tells me I was shocked when she told me that "Wait what really" I say to her "Yeah but don't tell him I told you that because he wanted to tell you not me" she says I laugh "Ok Henderson I won't" I say she playfully punches my shoulder "I mean it Steve don't" she says "Okay okay I won't" I say she's so cute when she's serious I thought to myself, Ugh Steve you gotta stop I thought to myself

Then all of a sudden the power went out Steve went to the light switch to started flipping the switch multiple times "That isn't gonna work dingus" I say to him he stops then says "Oh really" then continues to do it then the lights came back on again "Let there be light" he says to me I just roll my eyes at him then continue to work
