My name is Prudence Melinda Halliwell. My friends call me "Prue", just like my aunt, although to avoid confusion, some people call me "Mel". I live in San Francisco, California with my parents, aunts and sisters in a big, pink Victorian-style manor. We ran out of rooms in the manor, so when me and my sisters came along, my mom and aunts made a spell to create extra rooms in the house, but they would be invisible on the outside, kind of like the magic tent in "Harry Potter: The Goblet of Fire". I don't know how they did it, but they are the Charmed Ones. I have three other sisters who I am extremely protective of. Their names are Molly Phoebe Halliwell, Caitlyn Penelope Halliwell, and Emily Paige Halliwell. Molly can control the elements and orb like me and our other sisters, Caitlyn can predict what is about to happen within a short period of time, and Emily, can sense when there is evil around, but she hasn't controlled it yet. I'm 14, Molly is 13, Caitlyn is 10, and Emily is 8. Molly has long, brunette hair, dark brown eyes, and almost full lips. Caitlyn has really long dirty blonde hair that reaches her butt, brown eyes, and pink lips. Emily has shoulder length dirty blonde hair, light brown eyes, and light pink lips. We are half witch and half whitelighter and the daughters of a Charmed One. The Charmed Ones are the most powerful force of good magic in the world. Since me and my sisters are the daughters of one that makes us even more powerful than them, but it comes at a price. My aunt's, mom, me and my sisters fight demons and warlocks to save innocents. My aunts are some of my favorite people in the world. My Aunt Prue has the power to move things with her mind and she can astral project. Astral projection is where you can literally be in two places at the same time. Some people call it "bilocation" but "astral projection" is the magical term. my Aunt Phoebe has premonitions and can fly. My mom, Piper, can freeze things and blow things up. My dad, Leo Wyatt is a white lighter, a guardian angel for witches. Since I am half whitelighter, I can orb, but since I am also half witch, I can make things appear when I say their name. As soon as I woke up, I went to my stereo, plugged my phone in, and blasted Demi Lovato. I love her so much. She is my inspiration and I will do anything to meet her. Today is my first day of high school. I don't know what to wear. I went over to my closet and looked through my clothes. I heard footsteps running up the stairs and towards my room. Molly came in and said, "Mel, hurry up. Mom wants us down for breakfast." I sighed. "Ok, tell mom I'll be down in a few minutes," I said. She nodded and left. I finally found an outfit. It was a dark maroon high waisted skater skirt, a black cap sleeved crop top with pink roses all over it, and a thin, white, knee length, 3/4 inch cardigan. I slipped on some black converse and orbed my backpack downstairs. Yeah I know; no magic for personal gain, but who cares? I need to hurry or else I'll be late for school. I went into my bathroom, and brushed my teeth. Next, I brushed out my pre-straightened light brown hair. My hair went down to my mid-chest, wavy and thick. If I don't straighten it either after it dries after my shower, or in the mornings, it will be insanely poofy, and hard to handle. I normally straighten it after it dries, that way it's easier to straighten again in the morning. I straighten it again and look at my face in the mirror. It's covered in acne. I hate it so much. I always wash my face, but I guess it's the stress of having my life on the line pretty much 24/7. I covered as much of it as I could with makeup. I gave the mirror one last look, and went downstairs. I came down to see Aunt Prue standing in front of me. She has long, jet black hair, hazel eyes, and pink lips. She's wearing a red tank top, dark blue jeans, and white tennis shoes. "Sweetie, you know you're not supposed to use magic for personal gain," she warned me. I internally groaned. "I know that and I'm sorry. I just didn't want to be late for school," I explained. She looked at mom, who looked at me. Mom has brown eyes, dark pink lips, and dark brown hair that falls to her mid back. Mom was wearing a nice tshirt, blue jeans, and black docs. She sighed and said, "its ok, just please don't do it again. You're lucky Emmie didn't see," she scolded. I nodded and sat down next to Molly. Molly had a plate piled high with bacon, eggs, toast, and a piece of sausage, but she wasn't eating. I gently kicked her leg. She looked at me and I asked her, "Why aren't you eating?" She shrugged her shoulders and looked down. "Oh! Girls, you've got to get going or you'll miss the bus!" mom said. I grabbed a piece of toast from Molly's plate and she glared at me. "What? It's not like you were eating it," I said, taking a bite. She shrugged her shoulders in agreement and got her backpack from the floor. Caitlyn, Emmie and I all did the same. Aunt Phoebe came downstairs in her pajamas and said "Wait! Don't leave without my kisses!" Aunt Phoebe was a mushy person especially when it came to us. We all giggled and put our cheek out so she could kiss it. She gave us all hugs and we went and did the same with Aunt Prue and mom. "Where's daddy?" Emily asked, talking in her baby voice. She only does that when she's scared, nervous, or sad. "Daddy is still on a mission, but he will be back for dinner," mom said. Emily had come up with the idea that our dad was a superhero. It was her way of understanding where he was all the time. Of course the rest of us knew that he was really either battling demons or taking care of his charges. "Promise?" Emily asked holding out her pinky to do the pinky promise thing. Mom giggled and stuck out her pinky too. "Promise," she said, wrapping her pinky around Emily's. Emily let go and went over to me and our sisters. We all headed out, hand in hand while mom and Aunt Prue and Aunt Phoebe followed. We walked down the steps and to the edge of the driveway where the bus was. I took a deep breath before helping Molly, Caitlyn and Emily onto the bus, then getting on myself. There were only a couple people, but they ignored us. We sat in the very back because that was the only seat big enough to hold the four of us because we wanted to sit together. After a while, more and more people were getting on, and then we finally made it to the school. I had to take Emily to grade school, so I told Molly and Caitlyn to wait for me and the drop off under the big oak tree. I took Emily's hand and led her into her classroom. I introduced myself to the teacher and the. Introduced Emily. "Hello Prue and Emily. My name is Mrs. Miller," she said. She took out a piece of paper with a big chart and names and contact information already filled out by some people. I had to sign my name, who I was dropping off, when I would pick them up, our home phone number, and my cell phone number in case of an emergency. When I was done, Emily tugged on my skirt, begging for me to bend down to her level. "Promise you'll come back right after school ends?" she asked. I nodded my head. I pulled her into a hug and said, "I promise." I kissed her cheek and went for the door, but turned around. "I love you, Jelly Bean," I said. She ran up to me and hugged me again. "I love you too, Snickerz". Our nicknames for each other were our favorite candies, if you didn't already guess. She ran over to her seat and I went back to Molly and Caitlyn. I took their hands and walked them to middle school, which was in the highschool building. I think it's pretty stupid. I did the same thing with Molly and Caitlyn that I did with Emily. Molly's teacher was Mrs. Saden, and Caitlyn's teacher was Mrs. Fredericks. I went to the double doors connecting the middle and highschool and opened them. My first day...
