I hadn't told my family about Damon's proposal

I knew they would refuse to let me get married in a loveless marriage.

My family believes in soulmates, marriage and how sacred it is

I on the other hand have never been a staunch believer

Maybe that's the reason why I'm getting a loveless one

Yes I've made up my mind

I'll agree to get married to Damon but I have my terms and conditions

I have my set of questions

"Mia honey, why don't you join your dads firm? Write from him?" Mama asked

I took a sip of my hot chocolate, "I don't know, I never thought about it"

"Just like you did? With Daniella?" I asked, my words laced with anger

Jacob stood up from his seat, "How do you know about Daniella?"

I smiled, "You seriously don't think I would've forgotten how you left me at the airport do you? Non of this would've happened if you weren't so irresponsible!"

"Daniella? Is this true Jacob are you dating Damon's sister?" Mama asked as Jacob was icing around the lounge

"I'm going to fucking kill Damon!" Jacob yelled

I stood up, "why are you putting all of this on him?"

"You see this mum, dad? You see how she's defending him? One day with him and she's head over heels for him!" Jacob yelled

"What are you trying to say Jacob? That I slept with your best friend? One who you want to kill so badly?" I asked

"Mia, Jacob both of you stop!" Dada intervened

"What's wrong with you son? You've never spoke so ill of Damon" dad asked

Jacob ran his hand through his hair, "He wants Mia dad, and what he wants he gets! I won't let him get his hands on my baby sister even if I have to put at stake twenty years of friendship!"
