Welcome and enjoy, Book 2.

A funeral service was being held today for those who had died to the gas leak explosion on the Young Family Farm. I had arrived to the service early, seeing as I have nothing to do.
As I walked in I see a girl who looks so familiar. She looks over at me and both our eyes widen in recognition. "April?" I question, surprised to see her here. She was sent off ti some boarding school last time I heard.
"Oh my god, Clara! You're here!" April says as we walk towards each other. We sat in one of the pews and started talking, catching up with one another. I avoided the topic of her father, due to this being his memorial service.
After some time, someone walked up to us, we both look over and see Elena. She takes a seat on the other side of April and gives us both a sad smile. "Hey there." Elena softly says to us.
"Hey" we both respond.
"Long time no see, not since..." April starts to say, but she fades off.
"Our parents funeral." Elena says solemnly.
"Yeah." April says sadly.
Elena leans over and hugs April, which was really nice and risky considering the whole new vampire stuff. Elena pulls out of the hug. "Are you going to survive this?" Elena asks her.
April laughs lightly, "they want me to give a speech. I guess all the kids who lost somebody can. What am I suppose to say? 'I'm sorry my dad didn't fix the gas line.' But if I don't say anything, then... I mean, what if nobody does? I mean, my dad and I didn't even get along or anything but everybody still deserves to have nice things said about them at their own funeral, you know? I mean, for my moms funeral , everybody said some really nice things, I..." April says, rambling lightly and getting emotional, sniffling as she explains to us.
Elena and I look at each other than to April. "You say what you want to say. Or you don't say anything at all." I tell April sincerely.
"And don't worry about your dad, everyone in this town loved him." Elena adds in.
"Yeah, until 2 days ago." April says to us.
"Even still." Elena reassures her. We both comfort April as she starts to sniffle and cry again.
Elena started to look dazed, "I'm sorry, I... I have to go." Elena says abruptly, and leaves us. We look at Elena's retreating figure confused as she goes in the direction of the restroom.
"Can we go upstairs? People will be coming soon and I still need to finish my speech." April asks, as more people began to arrive.
"Yeah of course, lets go." I tell her and we go upstairs. We take a seat on one of the benches as she continues to figure out what she wanted to say in her speech.
I was looking over some of her scribbles to see if I can help. Then i hear April gasp from next to me causing me to look up and see a guy just standing there near us. "Sorry, you scared me. We were just practicing for my speech for later." April explains getting up, I follow her lead.
As April goes to move past him, he stabs her and she gasps in pain. Before I can scream, the guy stabs me in the stomach as well. I gasp and hold my wound. The guy leads us to sit on the floor, he ties us up and leans us next to each other, our blood flowing to the ground, and he then gags us.
I could hear the memorial starting, after a few people began talking through the mic. I think Elena started talking after a couple people, then the choir began to sing. The minimal pressure I've been trying to keep on my wound slipped from being weak from the blood lose.
The choir stopped singing, and Tyler's voice rang through. The guy who stabbed us then took a shot at Tyler, filling the air with screams from those below us. Then he left; he left us bleeding out with no way of getting help.
Not to long later, Elena's voice rings through the room, "April! Clara!" I hear her foot steps begin to walk over to us but then she stops. I look over at her and see that she was looking at the blood that was surrounding us. Her face was vamping out, and she rushes towards April, but Caroline rushes in ans stops her.
"They aren't dead. But if you feed on her, you will kill her!" Caroline tries to calmly explain to Elena, but it doesn't look like it was working.
"Let go of me!" She yells at Caroline, and tries to get towards us again.
"Look at them! Look, its April. April Young! and Clara! Your big sister. They are not a warm body for you to feed from. She is your friend. And she is your family." Caroline tells Elena and it seems to work.
My eyes start to feel heavy and it was getting hard to focus on their words, or sounds in general. I feel the gag on my mouth be removed and something else being placed on my mouth. The metallic taste of blood goes into my mouth and down my throat. I gasp awake and see Caroline in front of April and I.
"Please, Don't hurt us! Please!" I hear April plea to Caroline.
"No one's going to hurt you. No one is going to hurt you." Caroline console's April. She turns to Elena and softly tells her something I couldn't hear properly.
"April, listen to me. Everything's going to be okay. You're going to get through this, just like I got through it. And I'm going to help you. I promise." Elena tells April and April stops crying.
"I'm going to be okay. You're going to help me." April repeats. Elena compelled her. Caroline helps me up because i was still a little sore.
Elena looks over at us, happy that she was able to compel, then back at April. "You watched the funeral from up here so that you can be alone. Clara came to comfort you. It was a beautiful service. People said really nice things." Elena compels April; and April smiles.
