Damien sauntered into the room as his usual sexy self. Boxes upon boxes were piled just inside the café that Jareriel had owned. Jareriel shook his head while chuckling softly.

"How much stuff do you own?" Jareriel asked, opening one of the many boxes scattered through the shop.

"You tend to gather a lot of stuff through hundreds of years on Earth, love," Damien sneered, shutting the box quickly before Jareriel could see the contents.

"Ooh, a tad angry today, dear?" Jareriel teased the demon with a smirk.

"I could never be angry at an angel like you, love." He paced up to Jareriel, pecking his cheek gently.

"Never is quite a statement," Jareriel smirked, "Is that all the boxes, dear?"

"I think so. Let me run back to the apartment and double check," Damien threw on his jacket before grabbing his keys and wallet from the tabletop.

"Do you want me to come with you?" Jareriel mumbled quietly.

"Of course, I don't like going anywhere without my angel," Damien said as he smirked, watching a scarlet blush appear on his lover's face, "You know that, love."

Damien swung the shop door open, holding it from the outside. Jareriel scurried out the door, following Damien as he paced to the car. Jareriel quickly snapped his fingers, locking the shop door. Damien revved the engine, indicating that he was ready to go. Jareriel jumped in fright at the loud noise.

Damien rolled down his window, "So sorry, love."

Jareriel shook his head, stepping into the street and safely sitting in Damien's passenger seat. Jareriel fastened his seatbelt quickly before Damien sped off to his apartment.

"You know," Jareriel began, "I don't think I have ever been to your apartment."

"I don't really let many people go to my apartment." Damien turned up the music that played in his Mustang.

Jareriel rolled his eyes, watching the scenery pass by. Damien pushed on the gas and, within minutes, they arrived at a dreary apartment building. The dull gray gave Jareriel an unsettling vibe. Damien pushed his door open and stepped out onto the sidewalk. Jareriel did the same, walking around to meet Damien. Jareriel grasped onto Damien's hand, not wanting to let go. Damien snickered at the frightened angel.

"Hey!" Jareriel shouted angrily, "Don't make fun of me!"

"You're just cute that's all, love." Damien tugged at Jareriel's hand as he walked into the building.

They both strolled right to the elevator, selecting the sixth floor. Damien had lived here for years without any prospect of moving out. He definitely did not think he would move in with an angel. He was ecstatic to be moving in with Jareriel and running the tiny coffee shop with him.

Jareriel nudged Damien out of thought as the doors opened. Damien reciprocated the action as he pulled Jareriel out of the elevator, leading him to the apartment. The black door popped out like a sore thumb amongst the mahogany doors that were spaced out through the hallway. Damien popped into the already unlocked door, pacing around the completely black room.

Jareriel shivered, "I don't think I like it in here, dear"

"I know it isn't a real home, but I made do for the amount of time I was here." Damien grabbed the last painting on the wall and ushered Jareriel out of the apartment.
