"you did, what?" my head shot up in utter shock and confusion, i furrowed my eyebrows when i saw him scratching his head. "minkyu?"

"he ditched you and paired up with me on an english project." said wonjin, one of my close friends, together with minkyu as well.

"minkyu?" i said with a slight whine.

"you were absent yesterday so i had no choice," i glared at him, only to see him shrug. "besides, you got paired up with a new kid."

"she's pretty," wonjin nodded in satisfaction, his eyes wandered to look for the girl he complimented.

"but i wanted to do it with you guys," i sat down.

"we'll help each other out on the project, alright?" minkyu patted on my shoulder.

"go talk to her, hyeongjun!" wonjin whispered, yet he was still loud. " she's right there.

i rolled my eyes, i turned to where he was pointing, maybe had a little trouble at finding her but when i did, i couldn't unsee her. to start off, she's pretty.

she took her eyes off the book that she read, and looked to her side, enough for us to look at each other, as we exchanged bows.

"she's not gonna be here long though," minkyu interrupted. "3 months? 4 months?"

"don't get too close with her hyeongjun," wonjin warned.

"why not?"

"it won't be too painful for you when she moves." he said, which made sense. "that's a life hack."

"well, atleast make her feel comfortable," i said, sighing after. "i know very well how it feels like to be left out."

"anyways, what's her name?"

"i don't know."
