Jasmine Grew Sick to her stomach when she heard the words "Son & EJ" all in the same breath. She wanted nothing to do with somebody that came with baby momma drama, but how could she turn her back on the person she was falling madly in love with. Dayton stood there in shock just staring at Nina and her kid. I could clearly see his hands ball into a fist as if he wanted to hit her where she stood.
"Nina, If you knew like I knew you'd leave NOW! Because bitch you must be out of your rabbit ass mind if you think this funny looking ass little boy is my nephew. As you can see my brother has moved on to BIGGER & BETTER Things" Day said as he gotten up from his chair.
"Dayton ain't nobody on bullshit, I've been calling him and texting him and he has yet to return any of my calls so I called your mom and she informed me where his sorry ass was at" Nina yelled as she pulled her son towards her.
"Day I think I should walk to the cafe to get a cup of coffee so you two can finish your conversation, call me if anything changes while I'm away" I whispered.
As Jasmine got up from her chair she could feel the mean stares from Nina's eyes burning her face. If Mire wasn't laid up in some hospital Jasmine would've popped that heffa dead in her lips. She thought nerve of these hoes to place babies on men to keep them....
"So pathetic" Jasmine said while she rolled her eyes.
Jasmine didn't see herself as a step mother nor did she want to condone a relationship with a person who had a "possible baby mother like Nina". So many crazy thoughts ran through her mind but it was short lived as her phone vibrated in her purse. It was Britt who was suppose to meet her there hours ago.
"Finally bitch you called is everything okay?" I asked.
"Sorry I couldn't make it sooner to the hospital But I just received a voicemail from Brian whom of course I haven't seen in 7 years and who has been back in town for months" Britt sighed.
"Omg how is he? I'm sure Atlanta treated him like a king what brung him back ? He vowed never to return after what happened"
"Girl I don't know I'm about to return his call in a few and then head over to the hospital you need anything?"
"No girl I'm good, I'll see you when you get here I'm grabbing coffee and I have to tell you what just went down in this hospital room seconds ago"
"Is everything okay? How's Mire?"
"He's stable, but I'm sure he'll pull through he's a tough cookie"

After hanging up with Jasmine I thought long and hard about returning my brother's phone call. It's been so long and honestly I wouldn't know what to say to him or how to express anything. I hated him for leaving me without not even a note. Nothing he should say to me would ever make me understand why or how he did it. Maybe I should just hear me out.
With my phone in my hand I hesitated to push call back but I shallowed my pride and pressed it.
"Hello" some woman answered
"Umm I think I dialed the wrong number I was looking for my brother Brian" I spoke clearly into the speaker.
"Heyyy sis it's me... Brian Died A long time ago I legally changed my name to NINA we have a lot to talk about let's do lunch in a few"
My mouth dropped as the memories started coming back. I KNEW IT, mother's Perfume....
