Y/n gapes at him.
It has been a long time.
A really long time since Taehyung and y/n have met.
Her ex.
As their eyes roam around eachother for a while, the worker thanks him and walks away from the till awkwardly."May I talk to you?" He begins while he nervously buries his hands into his pockets as he eyes the hickeys littered on your neck.
Y/n's eyes wander around the place, not knowing what to do. She takes a step back and exhales after keeping her breath in since her eyes met his figure.
She looks at him up and down and notices the shirt he was wearing, it had the gucci logo imprinted on it. Taehyung was wearing the exact same shirt y/n was wearing.
Awkwarrrddd."Y-yeh sure" she says breathlessly, tearing her eyes away from him.
Y/n's POV
Once the tea was done, Taehyung leads you into the far corner of the coffee shop. To your surprise he slides the chair over the floor and gestures you to sit down.
"Thanks Taehyung" you say with a light awkward smile plastered on your face as he takes the seat opposite of you, nodding you a smile back. You couldn't help it but keep your eyes on him. It was as if he was a magnet for everyones eyes in the shop to be looking at him.
He's different.
Much different from when you last saw him a few years ago. Taehyungs hair was dyed into a lighter shade of brown, his muscular physique has impressively grown, his face was more angular and you can literally go on about how he's changed over the years.
He's even grown to be a bit of a gentleman, judging by his actions a minute ago.Your eyes skim over him as he looks out the window with his head resting on his fist while his fingers on his other hand were nervously tapping on the table. He just sat there uncomfortably, willing to say something, anything, but all there is was a still silence.
As if he can feel your gaze he catches your glance by the corner of his eye, your pupils locking into eachother causing you to look away, flustered."Its been a long time" You begin, breaking the silence. Your voice was bittersweet as memories of you and Taehyung together flood into your brain after several years of being apart.
You wanted to miss him, but you couldn't. It still hurts.
You missed his company, your relationship with him.
You wanted to slap yourself in the face for thinking about that. Not after the years of trying to get over him. Not after the years of trying to move on from an unforgettable mistake you've made.Get yourself together y/n, c'mon dumbass.
He sighs and drops the arm supporting his head. He turns his head to face yours and your eyes drift up towards his.
"I know y/n" the tapping of his fingers stops as his lips twists into a small genuine smile. "It's nice to finally meet you again".
Ah great. Don't miss him now y/n. Just get through this and I'm done. I'm really gonna be done with this guy.
You shoot him a smile back and break the eye contact, looking back at the mug nested between your palms.
"Y-yeh, I thought I'd never see you again." You chuckle faintly. "how did you find me?"Taehyungs smile deflates a bit. "Well I didn't find you, I saw you". He begins to fidget with the rings on his fingers. ".... which is great because I've been needing to ask you something. Something important y/n".

It all started a few years ago. You and Taehyung.
Back when you were 16 years old, wishing to graduate high school soon and go to a university to persue your dreams of being a doctor; with Taehyung by your side. However, these weren't so easy. With a corrupt father, leading an organisation in an illegal industry, these dreams of yours were a far fetch. They didn't even matter to your father. What he cared about was a dream of his own, where you and your sister lead the organisation he built with the helping hands of your late mother.
Yes, your family was pretty wealthy.
Yes, you didn't need to go be a doctor judging by the amount of money your family makes.
Yes, you had everything by the tips of your fingers.
However, you wanted a normal life; far, far away from the troubles, consequences and risks an illegal organisation wouldve brought you.
You wanted to experience things which had nothing to do with your father or the business you dreaded.Your sister didn't gain you much hope either. She joined the organisation with a passion and she lead it by storm. Your father's men obeyed her and she did this all in the name of making your mother proud. It wasn't a competition between you two, she knew you didn't want to be involved. She did her best to prove that she was good enough as one person to lead a whole organisation, but your father thought otherwise regardless. He believed she wasn't strong enough to lead the organisation on her own. He wanted you to go alongside her, whether you did little to nothing at all for the organisation.
You eventually found out that this was the cause of your mum. Before she died years ago, she made a contract for you and your sister to belong to the organisation so that it would live on for generations. This way their work they put blood, sweat and tears on wouldn't die down once you father is gone.He was dedicated to this world of evil he built. No matter how much you try to encourage him to let you go live a pretty life while your sister or whoever deals with the organisation he loves so much despite the contract, he always had you up his sleeve like a tattoo. You couldn't get away from him. You were his daughter and there is nothing that could change that, you could only hide it.
Nobody were to help you but your hopeless self. Nobody in the family spoke of the business to anyone outside of it. You never even said a word to Taehyung.
Not that it was part of the rules, but because you were ashamed to be a part of your father's bullshit.
