You and Taehyung began as classmates. You ended up being in the same class with him for the school year and the both of you became friends quickly.
During the summer break, he broke up with his ex-girlfriend Park Chaeyoung after 2 years of being together. Everyone called her Rosé. You werent close with her but seeing her around school halls was enough to tell that she was gorgeous, had many friends and a great personality.

Taehyung had a hard time dealing with the breakup. He used to be the boy who was loud and always hung out with his closest friends. After what happened between him and Rosé, he always sat alone in the back corner of classes and never listened, too distracted with remembering the past relationship that he was involved with. Taehyung had suddenly become quiet, isolated and different to the Taehyung everyone knew.

Then it all began when you and him were partnered up during science classes, where it was first time you ever initiated a conversation with him. He was cold at first, but after knowing eachother more, you became friends. You guys then started talking to eachother everyday, whether it was at school, texting or going out together. Taehyung had also found himself again. He became comfortable with you, opened up to you and liked you.

You liked him back.
The both of you clicked together like a puzzle piece fitting into another, your chemistry was perfect.
The relationship was healthy, even if it was your first relationship, it was everything you could ask for.
Rosé on the other hand, was also in another relationship at the time so you were happy she wasn't in the way of you and Taehyung.

After many months into dating him, he grew from your first kiss to your first time doing it.

You became happy with your life, you liked it this way. You were usually with Taehyung after school to spare you a few more hours away from home and your father. He was usually with you after school to get away from a noisy home where his parents were always fighting.

You wanted this life. A life where you weren't tangled up in bad business, a life where you could be carefree and live like a normal 16 year old teenager with the person you love.
You planned to become a doctor and have Taehyung with you for the rest of your life. Even if it was a reach for him to be staying in your life as your first ever boyfriend, you wanted this happiness to never end.

And of course, you knew that would never happen.

You were going to be dragged into your father's organisation in about two years time, when you turn 18.
You would be working with your sister and at that point, you wouldn't be able to easily hide your little secret anymore.

Everyone you knew would know.
Taehyung would know.

And he would break up with you.

You always faught with your father and complained that it was better off for your sister to marry one of his most trusted men instead of you being involved. He was never happy with that idea however, saying that a husband would only make her influence deteriorate and would make her think that her husband is more important than the organisation she leads.

You constantly fell into potholes you couldn't get out of. You always missed your mother but the fact that she brought you and your sister into the shitshow before she died made your feelings conflicted. You were always stressed. You had all these emotions and you hated yourself.

Can't I ever have peace?

Your sister did her best to help, often backing you while you argued with your father. It was all meaningless in the end, you already knew your fate; you just needed a way to let out these emotions. Whenever she was home, she would be your shoulder to cry on.

With these family complications and your pitiful ways to outdo the unpreventable contract, you were completely oblivious to how distant you and Taehyung were being.
Both of you were being engulfed in your own family problems.

It all became a whirlwind when Rosé eventually broke up with her boyfriend after 5 months into the relationship. Taehyung wouldn't meet you as often as he used to but you shook all bad thoughts and suspicions off your mind and convinced yourself that it was because of the problems at his home. He's made you happy and you didn't want your stupidness to ruin the relationship.

You started to feel alone again. You started to suffocate and give up on life. Nothing was ever fair for you. Nothing went the way you wanted.
You began to drink more often to numb the pain. You began to find ways to distract yourself from your tragic life.
You never found a way out to your problems, you only found a plaster to cover it all up.

Nothing ever came easy for you either. Running away would only lead you to run in circles, your father had many men to track you down and bring you back.
Convincing your father to leave you alone was pathetic at that point.
Anything you would do to get away was laughable. You just had to face your future whether you liked it or not.

Life was uneventful until Taehyungs birthday came by.
It was your boyfriends birthday.

And If there's a birthday, a party came along with it. You got him expensive gifts and champagne to the party which was located at his friends big house. This was all to make up for the time you've missed out with him, you felt guilty that weren't good enough of a girlfriend.

As the night grew deeper, everyone got drunker.
You felt yourself grow closer to Taehyung as minutes ticked past, one minute you're talking and the second you're in his arms.
You missed his touch.
You missed his hugs.
You missed him.

The next minute you were in a bedroom.
With Taehyung.
All alone.
You guys had eachother all to yourselves.
And you guys hit it off.
And this is where it all changed.
