[ The Neighbourhood - Sweater Weather ]

The whole day was agony for Tom. It was filled with interviews and having fun with the tour group, yet Tom couldn't focus on anything. All his mind was fixed on was last evening and the next to come.

He felt like it was really obvious for everyone to notice that he wasn't there with his thoughts, though Jake didn't seem to have trouble with it at all. Jake was just as always. He made jokes and laughed with everyone. Sometimes Jake'd shoot a glance at Tom, one that made his mind race immediately.

Now he was sitting through the last interview. It was just him and Jake this time, and he had to try his best to keep a straight face the whole time.

"What do you guys mostly do after these interviews? Do you hang out together or, what do you do?" She asked us, looking between us. Tom glanced at Jake shortly, panic rising up suddenly.

Luckily Jake came into action, noticing immediately.
"Mostly we hang out with the group, yeah, just seeing what's in town or just sitting in a restaurant chatting all evening. Right, Tom?" He answered before turning to him, who then nodded quickly.

"Yeah, we hang out with the group and have a lot of fun. Together. With all of us." Oh how gladly he'd hit himself in the face right now. "We go shopping or something, and a couple of days ago we went to see a movie," he tried, hoping to make his previous sentence less suspicious.

Jake noticed and let out a chuckle. Which only made Tom more nervous. Luckily, the rest of the interview went a little smoother. Jacob and Zendaya wanted to go out tonight, they'd said that in the tour group-chat.

When Tom read that text he sighed to himself. He and Jake were on their way to the hotel now. His friend noticed.

"What's up?" he asked with a slight frown.

"They want to go out tonight, to some fancy restaurant."

"Oh," was all that he replied. He pulled out his phone and started typing. Tom didn't want to look at what exactly he was doing, though he was curious. To his surprise, he found out rather quickly.

Jake had sent a text in the group-chat saying he felt sick. He also said we should take tonight off and not do anything. After a little while, they agreed. Though Tom felt bad for that.

"Maybe we should just go tonight? It's almost our last day here ..." he whispered. Jake raised an eyebrow at him.

"No, I'm feeling sick," he said with a smirk on his face. "And you should stay there with me in case anything bad happens, got it?"

"Yes, sir." They both chuckled.

Jake leaned over after the car had stopped. "You should call me that more often," he whispered in his ear, sending chills up his spine. Tom licked his lips nervously, his cheeks turning bright red.

"Maybe tonight I will," he said as confident as possible. The growing excitement in his chest made that a little harder.

"I'll hold you to that." He got out of the car, thanked the driver with a smile and headed to the entrance, followed by Tom shortly after. They knocked on the doors of Jacob and Zendaya, but both weren't there yet.
