3rd POV
Once the devils entered the Deep Abyss, they could see where the name came from. The area looked as if they were deep underground, with green crystals of varying sizes lighting up the area. There was nothing to indicate where they were or where the nearest city was.
Asia: The crystals here make the area look quite pretty.
Everyone could agree on that.
They all began to walk in a random direction, not really knowing if they were getting closer or farther away from a city. As they walked, they came across an area covered in lava. They were about to walk around it to avoid the heat, but before they could feel large tremors that felt like earthquakes. They looked around but didn't see anything nearby, but then Rias' knight Kiba said something.
Kiba: Uhh, everyone, what is that over there.
They looked in the direction he pointed at and saw a giant tortoise (or turtle) like a monster with a mini volcano on its back. Its skin seemed to be made of stone, both normal color and a color similar to that of the lava around it.
(See the archer on the cliff on the top left, use her as a ruler to see the real size of this monster)
Ajuka: Don't make any loud noises. We do know if it's aggressive or not.
Issei: What is that thing?
Ajuka: It's likely one of the many Subterrors that live in this realm.
Akeno: We should probably leave before it notices us.
Sirzechs: That would be best. We don't know what that thing is, how dangerous it is, or if it's important in some way.
They left the area without being noticed, and not too long later, Serafall asked a question.
Serafall: Ajuka, does any of your research tell you about whatever that was?
Ajuka: Sadly, I know very little. I know they're called subterrors and that there are different types, some more hostile than others. I was also able to find out that they are all very powerful and seemingly uncontrollable.
They continued to walk for a while, and everything was fine until another tremor happened, but this one came with a roar. They looked over and saw another monster even bigger than the last one. Similar to the last one, its skin seemed to be made of rocks, but it also had a black tar-like substance oozing out of it.
