Traveling Through The Darkness

I updated the Faction explained chapter and the Bio they are minor changes but if you want you can read it after this chapter. Later today or tomorrow I will be publishing a chapter explaining the army and some other things. It will be placed right after the "Faction explained" chapter so I suggest you lookout for that.

3rd POV

When the Devils entered the cave, they noticed how the terrane began to change. When it was finished they were standing in front of a large set of double doors, next to the door, there was a fire pit with blue flames that was lighting up the room. Above it was a sign and next to the sign was an unlit torch.

Issei: What is this room?

Ajuka: This is the entryway to the Dark Abyss. From what I gathered about this area, as the name suggests, it's an area of complete darkness and almost no light can exist within it.

Rias: If no light can exist here how can we go through it? Are we expected to walk blindly, and what about the fire and torch is it just supposed to mislead us?

Ajuka: No actually, unless you're a deity of the sun or light, those blue flames are the only thing that can give off light. Even then the path is completely straight.

Sona: If it's straight there wouldn't necessarily need the fire....unless there is something that we need to avoid.

Ajuka: That's correct. The area is infested with monsters that can see in the dark and can't be seen in the dark. Luckily, due to the fact that the realm is pitch black, they fear the light. The problem is that keeping the fire lit isn't easy. The torch can only be lit by the blue flames, even if we could use magic to light it, once we pass those doors, if we use magic the fire immediately goes out, the same goes for if we try to fly. The ground is also covered in water, though I don't know how high it is, so if we drop the torch-

Issei: We're fucked.

Ajuka:...Yes. Lastly, we only get one torch so we have to keep close. It also seems to be on a set timer of one hour, so we must move quickly.

Sirzechs:...Ok, maybe it should have been just us.

Ajuka: Oh, you think?

Serafall: Well we can just send them back right?

Everyone looked to where they came in and found the entrance was gone and replaced with a stone wall. When Koneko tried to break the wall it ended up doing nothing.

Issei: Once again, we're fucked.

Ajuka: We're just gonna have to be careful.

Ajuka grabbed the torch and lit it, while sirzechs opened the door. Wasting no time, they all huddled together, close enough to be able to be in the range of the light, but also far enough to speedwalk properly. As they traversed the darkness they could feel the water reach up to slightly above their ankles, they could hear the beast of the dark abyss above, and next to them, growling at them, they could hear them following behind them and move out of the way in front of them. Ajuka, Sirzechs, Serafall, and Winter were nervous, while the rest were scared, Issei even tried to take his mind off of the beast but ultimately failed when he looked to his left and saw one staring right at him.
