Chunkz: where are Brooke and Niko ?

Aj: I don't know, I texted Niko but no reply

Sharky: Niko took Brooke to the hospital in the middle of the night, they left Theo with me

Kenny: What? Why? What's wrong?

Sharky: I don't know, she looked faint when I saw them

Niko: we're on our way home now, they wanted Brooke to be admitted into the hospital but she discharged herself

Chunkz: what was wrong ? Her and the baby ok?

Niko: baby's fine, Brooke still feels awful though - doctors said she's having a really tough pregnancy this time and the heatwaves making her worse

Sharky: why did you take her to the hospital ?

Niko: she had a high temperature and there was blood in her sick, they gave her antibiotics

Real life

'Brooke, hey are you ok?' Kenny asked as he answered the front door and Niko helped me walk in

'Yeah thanks' I smiled weakly at him as Niko lead me to the stairs and then up to the cinema room

'Brooke' they all called as we walked in and I put all my energy into smiling at them

'Mummy' Theo cheered and came running over to hug my legs

'Hello gorgeous' I cooed and let go on Niko so I could pick him up but I struggled 'have you been good?'

'Yes' he nodded 'me and uncle Sharky watched the sidemen'

'Did you?' I fake exclaimed as Niko put his hands on my hips and helped me walk to the sofa where I sat down with Theo on my lap and he sat next to me

'Yeah' he nodded excitedly

'He was really good' Sharky said and pulled me into a hug 'how are you feeling?'

'I'll be ok' I answered as I put Theo down so he could go back to his toys on the floor 'and all they said was its going to be a tough pregnancy but I'm only four months'

'You should go to bed' Niko said and rubbed my back

'I can't' I shook my head and kept my eyes on Theo

'Brooke please' Niko replied seriously and I sighed

'Ok but only for an hour, then I need to get up' I said as I tried to get up but couldn't

'Babe you should still be in hospital, at least stay in bed please' Niko sighed as he helped me up

...(third person POV until next elipses)

'How is she actually bro?' Chunkz asked as Niko sat back down on the sofa after helping Brooke to bed

'Not good' Niko sighed and ran a hand through his hair 'they really wanted to keep her in but there's nothing to stop her leaving'

'She doesn't look well' Sharky added sadly and bit the inside of his cheek

'She really not well' Niko said stressed with his head in his hands and George put his arm around his shoulder comfortingly 'she has no energy at all, she struggles to walk, her whole body is so weak'

'It's gonna be ok man' Chunkz said to support one of his best-friends

'Doctors offered her a late termination because she's so not well' Niko sighed 'she refused it but that's how ill she is'

'Is the baby ok though?' Aj asked and bit the skin of his thumb

'Yeah, he or she is at risk of a slightly premature birth but should be fine' Niko ran a hand over his face

'Well that's good at least' George said and Niko nodded

'Where's mummy gone?' Theo asked as he stood between Niko's legs with his tiny hands on his knees

'Mummy's not very well, she resting' Niko replied to his son

'Is it because of my brother or sister?' Theo asked back and Niko ruffled his hair sadly

'Kind of, it's all very complicated adult stuff' Niko cooed back

...

'Niko please, I was in bed all day resting' I pleaded from the sofa 'I just want to help'

'No babe, I can't risk you putting yourself or the baby in more danger' he answered and held my small hand in his massive one 'there's loads of other people that live here to give me help if I need it'

'Just let me do one thing, I feel so useless' I stropped with tears in my eyes

'Don't cry, don't cry' he cooed as he put a hand on my cheek 'why don't you come and sit in the kitchen with us then?'

'Yeah' I sniffed and Niko helped me up as I winced

...

'Please just come to bed' I pleaded as Niko sat on his chair editing and I laid in our bed

'Ok, I'm coming' he replied and pressed something on the computer before walking over and turning the light off, climbing in next to me

We laid in silence for a little while, both lost in our thoughts.

'I thought I was losing the baby last night' I said, breaking the silence finally 'I still might do, and that's killing me Niko'

'I know' he breathed out and reached for my hand as we both still stared at the ceiling 'me too'

'I'm doing the right thing aren't I?' I asked 'you know, not terminating the pregnancy'

'Yes babe, you're fighting for our baby' he replied and rubbed a thumb over my knuckles

'It's such a hard decision, and one that I never thought I'd have to make' I sighed 'but I could never get rid of my own baby'

'Anything you want to do, you know I'm behind you one hundred percent' Niko said and I turned on my side to face him, our faces were almost touching

'You too, always' I smiled slightly 'I love you Niko'

'I love you too' he smiled and kissed me lightly

'Goodnight' I whispered

'Goodnight baby' he replied as my eyes closed
