*Listen to Promise by Jimin while reading this chapter*
A few weeks later, when I wake up Jimin is smiling at me.
"Get packed." He tells me. I'm confused at first, but then I start to grin. This means we are leaving for our trip to Indiana. I get up and get ready. I pull out our suitcases and set them on our bed. This will be the first time I've been back home since I left. I honestly have no reason to go back there. I have all that I need here and I haven't had a reason why I needed to go back to Indiana. That's why I came here in the first place was because the BTS guys are here. It will be nice to go back though to see if anything has changed.
Jimin leaves me alone to pack. I pack some of all of our things. I have no idea how long we will be there. I'm just packing what I think is enough. I finish about ten minutes later and I wheel out bags out of our room. I stop in the living room. I smell food and see that Jimin is making us food before we leave. All the kids have their bags ready next to the door. I put the suitcases next to theirs and then join them in the kitchen.
I kiss the top of Grace and Yeonjun's heads before sitting down. I smile at all the kids. I honestly love having a full house. These boys have forever got my heart.
"Where are we going this time?" Beomgyu asks with a smile. I look up at Jimin and he smiles at me.
"Go ahead and tell them." He says. I smile and look at all the eager faces in front of me.
"We are going back to my home of Indiana." I tell them. All of their mouths turn into O's when I tell them. I laugh slightly.
"We are going to see where you're from?" Yeonjun asks. I nod.
"I'm going to show you all where I'm from and take you to some of my favorite places." I say.
"It will be a fun trip." Jimin says as he sets our food on the table. We all start to eat. I turn to Jimin.
"I would kind of like to see my old house." I tell him. He nods and smiles.
"We can definitely make a trip to your old house." He says. I smile.
"Be ready for a whole lot of corn and fields." Jimin tells the boys. I start to laugh. It reminds me when he first came to visit me in Indiana. He told me there was a lot of corn there.
"There is a lot of that." I affirm.
We eat quickly and head out to the airport. We go through procedures and get onto our plane. We have a long fourteen hours ahead of us.
*14 Hours Later*
We get off the plane and set foot in Indiana. We get our bags and head outside. This is the same airport that Jimin, Namjoon, and Hoseok came from when they came here. It brings back so many memories of that time.
We walk up to the van we rented for our stay here. I get into the drivers seat. I haven't had to drive since I left. I make sure everyone is buckled and ready to go before I start driving. I don't need a map as I drive, it just naturally all comes back to me like I never left.
"Woah is that corn?" I hear from the back seat. I look in the rearview mirror and see all the kids looking out the window. I smile.
"Yes. What you see in the fields is corn and some are beans." I tell them.
"Can we pull over?" Kai asks.
"We want to see it and take pictures." Soobin adds. I glance over at Jimin. We both have big smiles on our faces. I pull the van over and shut it off. The boys hurry out to the corn. I help Grace out so she can follow the boys. Jimin stands next to me and takes my hand as we watch the kids. They are all taking pictures in front of the corn.
"How does it feel to be back?" Jimin asks me.
"It actuallt feels really good." I reply. Jimin smiles.
"I'm glad. It does feel good." He says. I smile.
After a few minutes of the kids taking pictures, we all get back into the van again. I drive down the road and more and more is becoming familiar to me. I start getting excited as I realize exactly where we are.
"That's my road!" I say excitedly. I slow down the van and turn down the road. A short distance later, my house comes into view. It looks like it did when I lived there. There is a For Sale sign in the yard. I stop the van in the driveway.
"This is my old house." I tell everyone.
"With all this yard?" Yeonjun asks. I nod. The boys hurry and get out again. Jimin and I get out and get Grace out. Grace runs with the boys around the yard. Jimin wraps his arm around my waist. We both watch as the kids race around my old yard.
"Doesn't this bring back so many memories?" I ask Jimin.
"It sure does." He replies.
"Remember when we came out and stargazed?" I ask. Jimin smiles.
"We had one of our first kisses and I told you to be mine." He says. I smile.
"Remember when I stopped you in the rain?" I ask with a laugh. Jimin looks at me and laughs with me.
"It was so awkward for us both.. But I wanted to kiss you so bad then." He says. I smile and lay my head against his shoulder. I sigh happily. Those times were great ones and I'm glad we are back here.
"Jimin, can we buy my old house?" I ask.
"You want to?" He asks. I nod.
"I do.. We could use it as a vacation house." I suggest. Jimin looks at me and smiles.
"I quite like that idea." He says. I turn my attention to the kids and see Yeonjun pick Grace up. He spins her around and I sigh again. I love everything about this moment.
