If you haven't read There's lust and then there's Eve- book 1, I strongly advice you to start from there, because There's love and there's Eve, is NOT a stand alone book.
SUMMARY OF BOOK 1
Eve, a 25 year old spinster, longing for a family of her own, decides if in the next three years she's still not yet married, she would undergo some colourful ways of having children.
Her plans go down the drain, however, when she has a chance meeting with Segun, the heart breaker she dubs as Batman. Once he sets his sights on her, he is only willing to hit and run, just like he does with all the other women he involves himself with.
Unfortunately for him, Eve is playing by a different set of rules when she enlists the help of her best friend who ropes him into a ten commandment game plan to fall in love with her.
Love blossoms in Eve's heart for Segun, who also falls in love with her, but is quite slow in voicing out his feelings, thanks to his boss and mentor and also what he went through in the hands of his ex.
He eventually decides to fess up, but it seems he's too late, because there are certain people who want to keep them apart.
Segun eventually saves Eve from a cruel fate with an even more cruel man who she almost gets hitched to.
With a botched wedding and a frazzled mind, Eve goes into deep depression, but only Segun's love and care coaxes her back to blooming life.
While cut off from the world on their one week time alone together, Segun bares a bit of his troubled past to Eve, but doesn't have the time to finish his story, because Eve stops him, her heart bursting with pain for the man she loves most in the whole wide world.
Unfortunately, not all love stories are meant to sail smoothly.
Eve and Segun's one seems to have started on a very rocky note, when Segun's mother materialises, bringing along with her, his sly, manipulative ex --- Roxy.
Question that seems to be ringing in Eve's mind, is, what role does she play in Segun's life?
