Azazel's POV

The door burst open by Kylen in only his boxers. "Azazel, Cleo was attacked and taken!"

I bolted up from the bed and shot out of my room. I ran to her's and saw it was completely trashed. Batair turned and looked at me. "What happened, " I asked him. He told me how Gin was knocked out and during a search, they found her room trashed.

"I found her phone, " Commander Alec said coming out of the bathroom, her phone in hand. "She tried to send out for help, " he said turning the phone to show us the screen. "Why Batair though, " Commander asked. "He's first in the alphabet on her phone, " I told him. "She hates leaving old conversations in her phone so she deletes them, and goes to make a fresh one."

"It stopped her from sending it. Question is, how was no one able to hear the fight, " He asked while looking around the room. "Gin said when he faced it, it made it so nothing could be heard. He couldn't even hear himself, " Maxwell said as he came in. "Why target Cleo?"

I clenched my fists, "Because she is a symbol of change. The thing that attacked Captain Roark, and her, are one and the same. They feel threatened by her and want her out of the picture." I left to go get dressed to assist in the search. Hang on Cleo.

Kylen was at the bottom of the stairs dressed as well. "I'm gonna go with you to find her, " He told me. He had guilt and determination in his eyes. Had he realized his idiocy? There were more students coming down, ready to assist. Reginald came down in his wolf form, as well as a few others. They shot out of the House of Warriors as if hell were chasing them. I shot out of there, my wings sprouting out. I shot into the air, keeping up with them easily.

They were following her scent. We should find her in minutes. Would she be alive? When we got to the cemetery we didn't falter. They slid to a stop when we got to a mausoleum with the angel of death, Serenity on either side. The ground began shaking, cracks going up the side of the mausoleum. "Everyone, get back, " Maxwell yelled when he caught up. "She is causing some major damage below ground. We go down, we risk her bringing the place down on us, killing us."

"So you expect us to just sit here and wait, " I snapped as I landed. The mausoleum suddenly fell and something shot out of it. Then Cleo shot out after it, blood flowing from serious injuries. "Get back here!" She screamed. She snatched it mid-air then twirled, using all of her strength to slam it into the ground. Then she went limp. I shot into the air and caught her. She was unconscious, her lip busted, her jaw on the left side black and purple, her hands had large holes in them, she had some major gashes in her sides, and her breathing was shallow.

I shot towards the school with her, straight to the infirmary. I rushed in and they were ready for me. They must have been alerted. They took her from me, then forced me into the waiting room. Kylen rushed in, "How is she?" "I don't know, " I whispered. She had lost so much blood.

Jocelyn ran in, tears streaming down her face, "Is what Reggie said true?" Kylen hugged her and she began to cry. "How bad was the lass's injuries, " Batair asked when he came in. "Her hands had holes in them, showing she had been crucified. She had deep wounds in her sides that were bleeding profusely. It's not good, " I told him. "What was the mausoleum like?"

"Trashed, but it looked like some kind of worship room. It intended to crucify her like it did the others, but she put up one hell of a fight, " He told us. I nodded and looked at the door she was behind. Now it was a waiting game.

I stayed in that chair until my mother called. I stepped outside and answered it. "Is it true, " She asked me when I answered. "Was the school attacked and a student kidnapped?" I sighed, hating how quickly it spread, "Yeah." "Honey are you okay, " She asked me. "You sound so sad." "It was Cleo. Something had taken Cleo and none of us knew until it was almost too late." "Oh Goddess is she okay, " she asked me. "We don't know. She lost so much blood, " I told her. "She is such a sweetheart. Do her parents know, " she asked me. "She doesn't have any, " I whispered to her. "She doesn't have anyone." "She has you, honey. And she has your father and me, " my mother told me. "Call us when she wakes up. I'm gonna send her a care package."

I nodded, "I will mom, I promise." I then hung up and went back to the chair. It was hours before we knew anything.

"She will make a full recovery, and we've done everything we could to heal her injuries. She lost a lot of blood so she'll be out for a while and it may be even longer till her strength returns. Even then, I advise she take it easy for at least two weeks during her training. She had also been under a heavy drug that had kept her completely paralyzed. She hadn't completely overcome the drug when she broke free, pushing her abilities and her body past its limits, " The healer told us. "Can we see her now, " Jocelyn asked her. She shook her head, "She needs rest. You can see her tomorrow."

She then looked at me, "And you need to change your clothes and shower. You'll scare the other students if they see you covered in blood." I sighed and stood, knowing she was right. I left and went back to the House of Warriors. Everyone stood when I came in. "How is she, " Mack asked me. "She's healed now, but she lost a lot of blood. She pushed herself too much so she has to take it easy for a little while. She also can't have visitors till tomorrow." I put my hands in my pockets, "Cleo, like many of us, is stubborn and will probably continue to push herself, and we need to make sure she doesn't." I looked down at myself. "They wanted her because they're scared of her. She symbolizes a change coming. You've all seen her strength, yet she still has to master it. She's going to get stronger and they know it. It's our job to make sure she becomes as strong as possible, taking out anyone or anything that tries to stop her."

"I couldn't have said it better, " Commander Alec said as he came in. "You all are the next generation of warriors. I can honestly say, I haven't seen another class jump into action without orders the way you all did. It was idiotic, reckless, stupid, " he raged on, but none of us looked down in shame like some scolded child. We did what was right. He then smiled, "But it was also brave and because of your quick thinking, she's alive and will be able to fight another day. The girl deserves an ass-kicking though. She held back, not wanting to use too much strength for fear of bringing the dorm down on everyone. Her restraint almost cost her, her life, yet if she didn't hold back, it would've cost you all yours. You're all headed in the right direction. Keep up the good work. Now go rest."

I went up to my room for a shower and a change of clothes. After my shower, I walked to her room. It was still a mess. I noticed the framed photo of her mother was shattered and on the floor. I picked it up and laid it on her nightstand. She wasn't going to be able to stay in this room.

"Hey, " Reginald said coming in. "What do you plan to do now?" "Move her to another room since this one is trashed, " I explained to him. He smirked, "Well let's get started."
