Ant's P.O.V
After that sentence left her mouth, I pushed her away, quickly running off into the whiteness. I heard her yelling after me as I ran away, trying to find my way out of this room. After hitting what seems like a wall, I began to bang on it as hard as I could. Darkness surrounded me as I heard Mama calling out for me.
SPLASH!
Water surrounded me, filling my body with the cold feeling of the water. Fish swam past me, looking at my sinking body. I have never felt so weak, helpless against the strength of the sea as I began to drown.
My eyes flashed with memories of my family, of the adventures... Of Mama. My sight began to grow darker and darker as I struggled to keep my eyes open. Wait... My eyes strained to focus on something, something that was coming for me, fast.
Was that... A figure? I couldn't tell what, or who it was. My vision grew too dark to tell.
"ANT!"
My eyes jerked open, my body instinctively flying upwards to cough violently. After vomiting water that had gone into my lungs and a moment to collect my thoughts, I looked up. There stood my family overtop of me, looking at me with fear and sadness. My mom quickly hugged me before letting out a sob.
"Oh my baby is okay!" She cried, nuzzling into my neck. My dad quickly embraced me as well, both of them holding me close. My eyes scanned the room, meeting Fontaine's worried gaze.
"Are you okay?" She asked, walking forward after our parents take a step away. I nodded and hugged her, being returned with a warm embrace. She wiped a bit of my hair from my eyes and laid her forehead against mine. "After I saw you hit the water, I panicked and did the first thing I could think of, jump in after you."
She let out a soft sigh as she helped me off the bed, realizing we were in the med bay. "Ant," my mom started. "You need to stop running off like that, we can't handle it anymore. From now on, unless you have one of us with you, you will be staying on this ship on the bridge with me." She states.
"But I'm not getting into much trouble! And besides, I came back and I'm fine!" I shouted back. Fontaine shook her head and sighed.
"You almost drowned, so I think mom has a point." She pointed out. "Ant, if you refuse to stay here, we'll have to do something about it." She looked up at our parents. They both did a sad nod as my dad walked over and grabbed my arms, pinning them behind my back.
Fontaine's P.O.V
I didn't want to hurt him, but in this case, it was important and had to be done. I grabbed his legs, closing my eyes as I heard him fearfully ask what was happening. I pulled on his right ankle, and twisted it with all my strength. The scream that ensued only caused the pain in my heart to spread further, wanting the young boys pained screams to stop.
"I'm sorry, Ant... It's for your own good..." I panted, holding my head to the left to avoid his tearful gaze. The heaved pants that escaped him only fueled the guilt I had, squeezing my eyes shut even more. I heard soft steps as mom began to sing to Ant, beginning to wrap up his leg in gauze than a make-up cast.
"This was to make sure it can't hurt you..."
