It was just like any other rodeo I competed in, only it was my last for a whole 6 months. It was only Houston Finals and there was $20,000 on the line. This rodeo meant more than life itself, I had to work my ass off to get here and I wasn't about to screw it all up now!

I walked down the rusty stall isles and found Whiskey sound asleep in the corner of her stall. I whistled and whispered her name softly, she slowly opened her warm brown eyes and lifted her head. "Hey baby girl, ready to eat?" I grabbed her bucket, scooped some grain, and hooked the bucket in her stall. While she was eating i grabbed a brush and began to groom her to perfection. My motto for rodeos is Do good and look good, what can i say I'm Fallon Taylor inspired.

After I finished grooming I went to go check myself in for today's competition. Whiskey and I were competing in Barrels, Team roping, Break away, and Goat Tying. This horse does it all and I was the one who proudly trained this masterpiece that I can call my partner.

I walked up to the entry booth and paid for my entry's, than right as i was walking back a deep voice gave a low whistle and said "oooo damn hunny where have you been all my life." I turned and looked at who it came from and it was a tall dark haired blue eyed cowboy with a killer smile. I gave a sly smile "keep on walkin cowboy."

I went back to the stalls and found my best friend Skylar in her horse's stall grooming, "hey Sky" she turned and looked "oh hey girl, did you just pay entry?" "Yep and ya might wanna watch out theres a really hot bullrider hittin on just about anything he can get, my guess is he's a lady killer." " haha aren't they all though?" Sky looking back at me as she walks away to entry booth.

Sky was best friend and always had my back, we've been friends since kindergarten when i moved in next door. Now she is my traveling and team roping partner. She heads and I heel, were one hell of a team, also she competes in barrels, steer undercoating, and break away with her gelding Mudslide. There hasn't been a rodeo that she didn't come too with me. But sadly this is my last year of living on road for a while. My parents want me to come and finish my education in high school, at first i was completely against the idea, but now I'm curious to see what its like. It would be my senior year at the small high school in my home town.

Sky finally came back from checking in and she came in clutch with mr. Bullrider. "Ahh look who it is with the one who I told you to watch out for" I hollered sarcastically. "Pshh hun no one can resist me" mr. Bullrider gave me one of his flashy smiles. "Aww Kacey don't give him such hard time, I mean look at him, how could you turn that down" she wined. Sky had always fallen easy for guys especially bullriders. Me on the other hand i kept my self guarded, I didn't have time to waste on boys who will just brake your heart, i had to make it in the rodeo world, I just had to and nobody is gonna stop me.

Break away was up in 20 mins, so I quickly saddled Whiskey and warmed her up, then walked next to Sky and Mudslide waiting for them to call break away.
