Chapter 6

Sorry for the long wait. I know yall have been waiting for this so here it is!

What the...

I reread the note too many times to count. It all sounds like a prank, but the fact that I have long hair and fangs says otherwise.

"Marinette, how are you going to go to school without everybody noticing your...new features." Tikki points towards my face.

'I don't know, Tikki.' I take out the box and open it. There are tiny pills inside. I take one of the pinkish pills and put it in a bottle of water. After waiting a few minutes, I take a sip of the water. 'Mmm...It's delicious!' My eyes turn bright red without me noticing.

"M-Marinette!" Tikki yells at me. "Your eyes are glowing!"

'W-what?!' I pull out my phone and look at myself through the camera.

"I-If Master Fu knows y-yours-secret, then I won't be with y-you anymore!" Tikki crawls into my purse and goes freaking insane.

'It's ok, Tikki. I won't let him know.' I think for a few seconds and come up with an idea. 'I know! I'll just cut my hair! Why didn't I think of that before?'

Tikki facepalms.

"MARINETTE!" Alya yells. "WE'RE LEAVING SOON!"

I look around for a pair of scissors. 'COMING!' Just as I about gave up, I found a pair of sharp scissors. I cut my hair a bit to match my previous hair and then run out to Alya. She and Nino question my short hair, again. I just tell them that I cut my hair. They sorta seemed to understand. We go to the TV and drive home. I get dropped off at my house. Just as I get inside, I run all the way up to my room. Thankfully, I avoided Papa and Maman. I jump onto my bed.

'This feels like home. No more hard ground. Now I get to sleep on my comfy mattress.' I hug my pillow. I look up and see one of my photos of Adrien. 'It's strange. I don't seem to feel as crazy for Adrien. Maybe it's just a phase I'm going through. Or maybe I fell out in love with him... WAIT, WHAT?!'

I curl into a ball and rock back and forward. My legs and arms are shaking. What the heck, my whole body is shaking! There's no way I would fall out in love with Adrien, right?! 

'OH SHIT THIS IS BAD!' I practically scream at my kwami. She comes to my face and squeezes my cheeks.

"Marinette, CALM DOWN! Also, stop it with the profanity!" She glares at me. I nod and she lets my face go. "Why are you now suddenly freaking out?!"

'Well, I was just realizing something.'

"Yea?" She gave me a weird glare.

'I don't feel at crazy for Adrien anymore whenever I think about him...'

"Finally!" Tikki groans.

'What do you mean?' I ask kinda pissed and glare at Tikki.

"I'm just saying that it was IMPOSSIBLE to get you two together. You have no idea how clueless you both are!"

'WHY YOU LITTLE-' I was about to swear at her but then I heard Maman.

"Marinette," My mom says underneath my room. "Are you home?" Tikki hides behing my sewing machine.

'Uhh... yeah Maman! I just got back!' I yell back. 'Do you need help in the bakery?' I ask trying to avoid getting asked questions about my trip. I quickly run to my sink and use a pair of scissors to cut my hair a little bit more so that I look more normal.

"Marinette, you're such a sweetie.' Maman opens the small door to my room and comes up. I throw my scissors into the drawer and shut it. She looks weirdly at me but then shakes it off. "There's somebody who bought some of our pastries and wants it shipped. Could you drop them off for me, dear?"

'Sure, where do you want me to go?' I ask curiously.

"I wrote down the address on a piece of paper." She hands the piece of paper to me. I read it and nod.

'Ok, Maman. I'll be back soon. Bye!' I give her a kiss on the cheek and leave the house.

As I walk down the sidewalk and up to the house, I feel the chills. Something about this place doesn't feel right. I look up and see a two story house. It's a little gloomy but in nice condition. Once I walk up to the door, I hesitate to knock. Once I gather all of my courage I knock on the door.

'Geez, Marinette. Stop worrying so much. There's nothing that can hurt me or scare me.' I giggle and wait for about 15 seconds.

Creak

I hear the door open and I see a pair of big brown eyes looking at me. She almost seems to be examining me. After a few seconds, her eyes become wider than they already are.

"Marinette?... MARINETTE!"
