On the canvas of my heart I painted your name,
Supported you unconditionally, Cared for you like nobody else did,
Then why did you treated my love as though it was a game!!!
When you behaved like a kid, called me at nights asking for gifts I never sighed,
For I knew there's nobody besides me as my family except you, and trust me when you were sad, that was me who always cried.
Under the tree looking at the moon we made so many unforgettful memories,
I wrote you lovely shayaris, hummed while you slept, sung you songs,
We played piano together but woefully like my friends said, "She's not fit for you!"
I'm sorry Jaan I cannot refuse but they weren't wrong.
I fought with them, broke my friendship, abused them with many names, I even told them that they were using me coz I had fame,
However, my eyes were left shocked, heart dying with pain when I saw the clip of you with my best friend.
From then on, Trust me, I lost all my hopes from this word called 'Love',
May be that's why today I am standing here in front of everyone on the podium reading this poem I made for you on your wedding day,
Asking the memories I have of you, " Please ab Jaane de mujhe!!!"
