My Brother's Best Friend

chapter twelve - just a little longer

MAX POV
I walked upstairs to Aiden's room, I was hesitant to open the door, but I did, I opened the door a little and saw Aiden sitting on his bed with his head down, I opened the door fully and his head shot up and started walking towards me, I flinched and stepped back a bit in fear, he saw what I did and stopped in his tracks, and he began to speak.

"Max I am so so so sorry, I- I stopped taking my meds because you weren't living here anymore so I didn't think I had a reason to take them then, we were at the dance and, we were dancing, then I kissed you, I went outside you followed then you brought up the fact that your my brother's boyfriend and I... I lost it, I'm so sorry max Oliver took over and I had no idea what happened, whatever it was I'm so sorry for what he did to you or said to you im-"

He didn't finish he groan and fell on one of his knees, and examined his ankle,he started apologizing cried, I walked over to him,went on my knees also and hugged him, rubbing his back telling that's I'm fine and it's ok, he eased up on the crying wrapped his arms around me pulling me closers and burying his head into my neck, I guess the smell of me calmed him down, I don't know.

We sat in silence for a while until I spoke up and asked, "can I talk to him, Oliver?" " no I don't want you to" he replied shaking his head, "please" I begged "if he's out I won't have any idea of what he's doing or how to get back in control,"

"it's OK" I said placing my hand gently on his face, he placed his hand over mine. Aiden closed his eyes for a minute and opened them smiling, then pinned me to the ground kissing me,before  he broke it smiling at me "Oliver?"

He nodded his head yes before climbing off of me "I heard you wanted to talk to me" He said happily "um, yeah I wanted to talk to you about.... OK what's going on your head, I've never met you before and Jax and Adam said you were obsessed with me, and I want to know what's so special about me" I said in a breath "we've met before when you went running into the bathroom after you saw what his face doing, we almost kissed, and at your fifteenth birthday pool party we spent the whole day together" He said smiling sweetly, so adorable.

"Wait that was you.That's why Aiden said he didn't remember anything,I thought he was just too drunk" I said before he continued.

"I can hear and see everything Aiden hear and sees, that's doesn't apply to him he's sleeping when I'm in control, you're amazing, your are kind, beautiful, sassy, bossy, strong, sexy and your smile fills me with joy, just being in here alone with you makes me want to just hold you and treasure you forever, I love you and I want you to be mine" he finished "I'm so sorry Oliver, but I can't be with you, I also needed to talk to you about going to therapy for a while, Aiden would agree but I need you to agree also" I said looking him in the eyes, "you can't be with me, and you want me to go to therapy?" He asked less angry than I thought "yes" I relpied with a nodd.

"OK, I'll do it, I'll do it, I'll get better, come back better, and then we can be together you'll see" he said grabbing my hands,placing it on back on his cheek his eyes sparkling with joy and hope, I couldn't help but laugh at him being so adorable and launching myself at him hugging him, him hugging me back, I let go but he hugged me tighter "just...just... just a little longer" he said snuggling into me I hugged him back.

He fell asleep, so I took him to bed we were really close to it so I just put him to bed, I decided to kiss him on the head you know don't judge I'm still in mother mode in a way I'm getting better. Anyway I kissed him on his forehead, when I felt a grip on my arm pulling me... not forward no no. Back wards, I turned around face to face with a wide-eyed shocked Adam

"Max what the fuck" Adam whispered, "Adam.  I was just kissing his head good night ok? Can we go outside please?" I asked leading towards the door, we stepped out the door he grabbed my wrist and dragged me downstairs throwing me in the living room,"HEY WHAT THE HELL" I heard Jax screamed at Adam.

"He kissed Aiden on the head" Adam pointed out which made Jax looked on me in anger "correction I kissed Oliver, I was talking to him before he fell asleep" I said rubbing my wrist which is bruising, "THAT MAKES IT WORSE" the both of them yelled at me, "I don't know what the big deal is, it's not like I was going to sleep with him or kiss him on the mouth" I said confused as hell, "you're leading him on, I wouldn't be surprised if you hugged until he fell asleep."Jax finished.

I looked down at the floor, sighed looked up at the ceiling ,looked at my boyfriend and brother, who were now looking at me confused. "I mean well I kinda did-" "OH MY GAWD" they both yelled in frustration cutting me off "Max you are giving him ideas, you are making him feel like you love him like he loves you, and you need to stop" Jax said  "and it's not cool, I love the fact that I'm not the one saying it, because I don't wanna come off as the jealous boyfriend" Adam said crossing his arms "guys look, I know where you're coming from, but I promise It's not like that" I said rolling my eyes.

"Of course you don't your heart is too big and your too caring, GOSH I know he's your brother but even you have to admit its hard to not fall for him" Trust me, I've lived with him for all my life, I'd say it's pretty easy" Jax said nodding his head and folding his arms.

"CAN YOU GUYS STOP IT, He- well they agreed to therapy so he leaves for Monday" I said shutting them up, before they wake the boys up "we need to stop shouting, before we wake him up ok, Adam let's go because it late and I doubt you'll get much sleep on the couch" I said walking over to my brother hugging him and saying good bye, we got in Adam's car "why am I sleeping on the couch?"Adam asked strapping himself in,and starting the car, "You threw me into the living room and I have a bruise on my wrist" I said before driving off.

After a long drive of Adam apologizing,we pulled up to the house and went straight into the kitchen "I'm starving, there's a note on the fridge from your roommate,  he said he'll be back tomorrow" I said taking out a Coke from the fridge, "make whatever you want" I said to Adam putting down the coke,  "good night babe" I said walking away to our bedroom.
