Goodbye Bella

I'm Not Selfish - Just Conflicted

I kiss Jake on the cheek as I hop off the bike. My nerves forming a pit in my stomach. 

"You'll be fine Cupcake" Jake smiles and puts his helmet on. 

"I hope so" I mutter and sling my backpack over my shoulder. "Thanks again for dropping me off" I smile shyly, very aware of the stares I'm getting. 

"No problem cupcake" Jake smirks and I turn to leave. 

Looking over my shoulder, I see Bella walking up to Jake, but he speedily rides away. Bella then takes to murdering me with her glare. I look behind her but I don't see the bronze haired leech. Bella follows my gaze and looks dumbfounded as she can't find Edward behind her.

Before I cam gauge her next reaction I bump into someone, knocking their book out of their hand.

"Oh! I'm so sorry! Here let me help you" I bend down to pick the book up. As I look up to give the book back to the poor girl, I notice that she is frozen to the spot, just staring at me. I feel my face heat up and I had the book back.

"So sorry about that." I squeak before ducking my head and rushing towards the office. 

"Hey!" I turn and look at the girl. "Do you want me to show you around?" she asks having finally found her voice. 

"I have to get my timetable and stuff but after that, sure!" I smile shyly and wait for her to catch up. 

"I'm Blair" Blair holds her hand out. 

"I'm Sage" I smile and take her hand.

Ugh, I have biology first thing! Kill me now. Saying goodbye to Blair, I gather my courage and walk into the class. The first thing I notice is how full it is, the second thing I notice is that Bella is in this class, the third thing I notice is that the only spare seat is next to Bella.

"Ah Sage here is your textbook, please sit next to Bella." The professor rushes through and slightly pushes me towards Bella. 

Bella's hand shoots up "Sir, Edward Cullen sits here." She screeches while smirking at me. 

"Bella, Edward has dropped out of high school" the teacher irritably states before starting class. 

Bella moves her stuff to the very edge and moves her seat as close as she can to the window. God, it's not like I have the plague. 

I sit and bury myself with note-taking while being acutely aware that Bella is glaring daggers at me. Does she seriously not want to pass? This is hard stuff.

After the torture that was Biology, I had Economics and Phycology before we had a lunch break. Blair pulled me towards a table with two boys who were having an in-depth conversation about how Nicky Minaj and Lady Gaga have the best fashion sense. 

"So Sage, how was your morning?" Blair asks while munching on a carrot stick.

"Biology was hell" I grumble while picking at my chicken mayo sandwich. 

"Really? Why?" Blair asks concerned

"Bella hates me for some reason" I mumble as I'm taking a sip of my water. 

"Bella hates everyone who not Edward or Jake" Blair laughs.

"Yeah well, she needs to get over Jake" I mumble- irritated. Not by Blair but by Bella's Selfishness. Blair opens her mouth to say something but my shoulder is roughly pulled back and I almost fall off my chair. 

"What the hell?" I shout, regaining my balance and fixing my shirt. 

"Why are you bitching about me?" Bella screeches. Blair flinches but I don't even care anymore, Bella needs to go. 

"Because you're being selfish and hurting both Edward and Jacob and you should stop!" I shout at her. The cafeteria deathly silent. 

"I-I'm n-not s-selfish, I-I'm Just Con-conflicted! I love them both!" She screams "Why do you even care?" Bella sneers.

"I care because Jake is m-my, u-um, boyfriend" I whisper loud enough for Bella to hear.

"WHAT!" Bella screeches, drop her tray filled with food and runs off towards the forest.

"You and Black?" Blair asks quietly, I nod my head "Something like that."

As I walk out of school I scan the parking lot for Jake, only to see him desperately looking at me to save him from a sobbing Bella. I rush towards him, jump on his bike and we ride off leaving Bella in the dust. 

"So..." Jake smirks "I'm your boyfriend now" I blush and look down. 

"Unless you don't want to be?" I ask praying that he doesn't break my heart.

"Of course I want to be your boyfriend, Cupcake" He lifts my head up and lightly places a kiss on my lips. Suddenly nothing else matters. Not the fact that Bella is going to set her vampire boyfriend out to kill me, not the fact that my dad is coming home any time soon. I focus entirely on the kiss and the feeling of Jake surrounding me.

"I love you Cupcake" Jake smiles brightly

"I love you too" I lean up to peck him again. 

"Hey! You two" I freeze. Dad's home early. 

"Jake! I told you to look after my daughter not date her!" My dad screeches whilst looking between Jake and me as if he could see the mate bond that binds us together. 

"Sorry, Mr.Thornewell but I couldn't help myself" Jake smirks while leaning against his bike.

"Ah, well better you then one of those Cullens" Dad sneers as Jake goes rigid and gives a tight nod.

"I'll see you later Cupcake" Jake kisses my nose "I'll see you around Jamie" Jake nods towards my dad as he rides home. I know Jake won't come tonight, he has patrol but he's still going to be there in the morning. 

"So you and Jacob Black" Dad mutters while shaking his head "I never saw it coming." 

I laugh at him and pull dad into a hug. "Thank you for being cool about it" I whisper. 

"Of course, after all, I did want you to make friends." We chuckle together before walking into the house. 

It's time for a bubble bath!

OMG, I love bubble baths but my hair always gets so tangled so I always end up going in the shower after :(

Anyway any feedback, is Sage and Jake's relationship going too fast? I really just want to get to the part where Bella loses her mind. This is going to be so much fun!
