Louise.

She was such a sweet girl. 17 years old, graduating high school early, has the perfect boyfriend, great friends...she was happy for a while. She is a great student, obviously. She loves to sing soft melodies. She was pretty organized and put together. Without parents, Louise was a great girl on her own. But she could definitely be better if her parents were still here with her.

Her parents were murdered when she was 9. She lived with her aunt and her husband until she was 16. When she turned 16, she moved back into her old house. She lived right next to them, so she still sees them all the time and they own the house now. She works at a restaurant that is a car ride away from her house. It was called Studio Foods. She didn't mind her job at all. She loved her life, except for the fact that her parents were murdered. She thinks about them all the time. When it was time to go to school, she always smiled. She thought that starting your day off with a smile would make everything better during the day. She was wrong every day.

Louise was a quiet girl. She didn't like to "show off" her body at school like most girls do. She would rather wear uggs, sweatpants and a tank top (She does do this sometimes, honestly. Her friends call it the "usual look"). Louise has blue eyes, black hair, a cute chubby face, and a button nose. Louise didn't hate her body, but she had her insecurities.

She drove her baby blue jeep to school, again. She loves to walk to school but she wasn't feeling it today. It was a Thursday, which means it was a usual look day. She was excited to see her best friends, Janine and Joni. But she was especially excited to see her perfect boyfriend, Shane Holton. He wasn't popular, but he was the cutest guy in school (weird right?). He has that smile that melts you every time you see it.

She went into the big building and smiled as she saw her friends waiting for her. She slid her student I.D. card through the scanner so they know she came to school today. She walked over to her friends and hugged them

"Hey Lou." Janine smiled. Janine has been Louise's friend since 5th grade.

Janine always called her Lou, like her father did. But Janine and Shane were the only ones allowed to call her that because they know every little detail about that dreadful day. Joni never asked what happened, she just knew Louise's boundaries.

"Hi guys" Louise smiled at them. Joni didn't say hi, but she smiled.

Then all walked to class, talking about the cute History teacher as usual. His name was John Plasenski. Well, it was Mr. Plasenski to them. They got to the door and walked in. They found their seats and Louise gave Shane a quick kiss on the cheek. He never met at the door like Joni and Janine did. He always felt he would be late to class. Joni and Shane exchanged looks. It was a cold moment. Everything kind of just went in slow motion when they looked at each other. Shane smiled, but didn't make eye contact. But, it wasn't a Shane Holton smile. It was a "this is awkward and I am sad about it" smile. He looked back down at his hands that were on his desk. Joni's face was almost depressing when she looked at him. It wasn't a hyper little Joni look. It was a "You hurt me and I've been hurting for a while" look. Her eyebrows furrowed and she chewed on her bottom lip. She only does that when she feels guilty.

"Joni?" Louise asks her in a whisper. She doesn't move or look at her. "Joni?!" she say slightly louder.

She looks at Louise and smiles, a hyper little Joni smile. Louise knows that something is wrong, but she doesn't say anything else. She just minds her own business and looks at the white board as the teacher writes something.

/flashback/

"Mommy?" the black haired little girl calls out. "Mommy!" she screams as she sees her mom with a knife in her chest, dying on the floor.

"Mommy is gone sweetie. We have to go." Her father told her, coldly. The scary man was chasing them from behind. The little girl's tears were flowing down her face very rapidly, screwing with her vision as they filled her eyes. She had lost her mom. She had lost the person who had given birth to her and changed her diapers. But before she could think about her mom more, there was a gun shot. Then there were sirens. Next there was a girl's ear piercing screams. Lastly, there was a bloody body of the father on the floor. The girl fell to the ground when he fell to the ground. The police finally got there. The scary man had already gotten away. It was too late. The little girl lost her mother and father.

"You got to be strong for me little Lou." Her father breathed out his last breath with those words.

Louise just nodded.

But he never let go of her hand.

/present time/

Louise's tears were hitting her desk. She wiped her face and wiped the desk off before anyone could notice. She wishes that she died instead of her parents. She looks up from her desk and the class is almost over. She looks at Shane, who has been trying to get her attention for the past 10 minutes. He mouthed something to her.

"Are you okay?" his lips worded.

Louise just nodded.
