It was amazing how one person can change your life forever. Whether they are ruining it or making it the best in the world.

Louise spend the rest of the school day pretty depressed. She felt alone all day. She knew she had her friends around, but it didn't feel the same after she daydreamed that horrible day. Shane smiled and kissed her on the cheek after 8th period.

"I love you, baby." He lifted Louise's chin with his index finger. She never looked into his eyes for more than a second. Louise just wanted to go home.

Shane sighed and hugged her. Joni and Janine waved bye but Louise didn't acknowledge them either. She just kept walking to her jeep. She hopped into the drivers seat and took a deep breath.

She put the keys in the ignition and drove to what she calls home.

- 4 hours later -

Louise finally finishes her homework and opens her computer. She checks her Social medias and all that. But she wants to do something so bad; she knows it will end badly.

She types into google "the Shore murder 7 years ago".

She bites her lip as she reads all the articles about her family. She started sobbing at one point because she hasn't seen a picture of her parents in a while. There were pictures of the murderers hat that he dropped in her house on accident I guess. They still don't know the killer. They only know that it was a guy and the only evidence was the blue baseball cap.

A few minutes later, Louise's phone rings.

"Hello?" She answers.

"Hey honey, do you wanna come over?" It was Shane, she smiled.

"Sure, I'll be there in 10."

"Love you Lou."

Louise just smiled and hung up. She changed into an orange tank top and black jeans. She threw on a black jacket and her Jordan's and got in her car.

-

"Hi Ms. Holton!" Louise smiled real big and hugged Shane's mom. After chatting with her, she went upstairs away from Shane and Louise.

" I'm gonna run to the kitchen and fix us up something, okay?" Shane kissed Lou's cheek and ran off.

Louise hasn't been to Shane's house in a while. She loves to snoop around people's houses, no reason why though. She looks at the pictures on the wall of Shane, his parents and sister. She smiles at his perfect family. She looks at the coats hanging up in the closet. She notices something up in the shelf of the closet, stuffed behind a bunch of junk. She reaches up as high as she can and grabs it.

Louise loses her breath. It's the blue hat.

"Do you want some soda, beautiful?" Shane yelled from the kitchen.

"Y-yeah! I h-have to go to the b-bathroom." She cries out. She slams the closet door shut and runs to the bathroom with the hat. She closes and locks the bathroom door behind her. She cries, she cries so much. Shane tried to knock and get in but Louise wouldn't let him in.

Louise wondered by he had this hat, this is evidence. This is the murderers hat. It can't be Shane, we are the same age.

"H-how do you have this hat, baby?" She cries with love for Shane.

"What hat? Lou let me in please."

"Don't fucking call me that!" She screams at him.

"I am sorry, I'm sorry. Louise will you let me in so I can help you?" Shane cries.

Louise can hear it in his voice, he is crying. He is scared. But Louise knows he is lying! He knows where this hat came from. If he is gonna be a liar, Louise will just have to really scare him.

Louise stays silent.
Louise looks at the razor on the counter.
Louise is silent, but the police sirens aren't.
