Trigger warning; Suggestions of bullying and panic attacks.

"Yah! Park Jisung! Wanna hang out after school?"

"Yeah, Jisung! Let's go karaoke-ing! Oh wait, we forgot. You don't speak. Or have any friends. Haha!"

Constantly, the students of SM High torment poor Jisung. The thoughts of the girls and boys are worse than the things they say, which is what Jisung fears most. He hates being in socially intense situations. It makes (y/n) wanna beat the hell out of everyone. Although she's never really held a conversation with the boy, she can still... hear him. The saddest part of it all is the depressing and panicked sounds of his thoughts pouring from his head and into her ears.

He hides his face on the desk with his arms, while the 17-year-olds continue to patronize him about his social anxiety.

"Fucking pansy!"
"Yeah, what a loser!"
"The youngest of the class!"
"Does he even have any friends?"
"He may be smart, but he doesn't belong here."

They continue to laugh at him and high five each other after each insult, kicking his desk and bag as they walk away.

This leaves him and Lee Donghyuck in the classroom. And, of course, you standing outside, listening to the whole thing. They weren't aware of your lingering presence, and the only reason you we're there is because of your left behind textbook. You hoped donghyuck wouldn't start anything, or else you would have to get involved. You've never had any problems with him, but you've never paid him much thought, either. He was alone most of the time, a delinquent nobody really talked to (well, except for the other five weirdos he hangs out with).

"I swear, one day I'ma give them a piece of my mind. Bang, Pow." He said, slowly imitating a jab and right hook with his hands.

Jisung's head pops up, cheeks wet from his silent tears. He is clearly startled at the unknowing of someone other than him left in the room. He says nothing.

To your surprise, Lee Donghyuck sincerely and carefully approaches Jisung after his sudden proclamation. He smiles as he continues with his high pitched voice.

"Those guys are assholes, don't let 'em get to your head. Plus, you're like, 10 times smarter than all of them combined. I've seen your grades dude, they're freakin' unreal. I mean, you've skipped a whole grade for god's sake!"

"Uh- umm..."

Donghyuck swiftly bends down to pick up the scattered papers from the floor, fixes Jisung's desk, and quickly adds, "It's alright, you don't have to say anything. But I'm definitely gonna fail this upcoming test if I don't get help. Sorry if it makes you uncomfortable, but could you maybe, like, explain to me what the hell is going on in Calculus? Let's hang out this week, I need a better tutor than the one I currently have."

"O- Okay." Jisung quietly replies, the corners of his lips turning upwards slightly.

Smiling to yourself, your ears are satisfied as the chaotic thoughts of Park Jisung slightly calm down at the innocent and kind interaction with his new acquaintance. Donghyuck wasn't stupid (sometimes), does not have a tutor, and you knew for sure he didn't need help in most subjects. You are pretty sure that Jisung knows that, too. You politely leave them to finish their conversation. You didn't really need that textbook anyway.

Cutely, Donghyuck finishes with his signature smile. "Great! We can meet up after school for the next few days, or until you think I'm ready." Sticking out his hand, his eyes close in a tight smile.

"And by the way, you can call me haechan. That's what my friends call me, anyway."
