Coraline 2: The lost links

Chapter 1: The end of one, the start of another.

The night after the party, Coraline thought that everything would go back to normal. But this normal life she knew now, would soon change. Coraline was 16 years old when something weird happened. She was looking out her window, thinking of her haunting encounter with the "other mother", when suddenly she saw something dash by her house. Or from her house.

A long and slender figure, Coraline couldn't figure out what it was. It ran towards the well, and then jumped in. Coraline was very confused. The figure leapt out of the well with the bag and ran back. Now Coraline was even more confused, and frightened. Coraline ran downstairs and sat next to the little door. She was determined to see what it was. A couple of hours passed, and Coraline eventually fell asleep.

Later into the night, Coraline was awakened by the sound of her door closing. Coraline realized that someone put her back in her bed. "Who's there?", Coraline asked unto whomever wanders beyond the door. All of a sudden there was scrambling and scratching. Coraline was shocked. Then there was a sudden halt. Coraline slowly opened the door, as she did so... the scrambling started again. Coraline kept the door cracked, and she listened. The little door downstairs was being unlocked. Coraline decided to go downstairs, and see what was going on.

As she walked to the living room, the door opened. As she got in the room, there was a needle hand closing the door from the inside. Coraline froze for a moment, staring at the door. She eventually went back to bed. Back to sleep.
