Coraline was very confused, "Why does she look like that? Why do you guys have button eyes?" There was a quick moment of silence. Welldonea answered, "Well... how do I say this..." A few moments passed. Daisy spoke in a soft and quiet voice, "We are direct descendants of... 'other mother'. That's why." Welldonea followed up with, "BUT... we aren't like her!"
Coraline was shocked, and the others were confused. Billie asked, "Who is this 'other mother'?" Libby followed up, "Yeah, who is she?" Welldonea answered, "She was... not a nice being. Coraline Jones met her." Billie says suddenly, "Oof... Oh sorry! That was automatic..."
Silence ensued. Awkward silence... "So yeah." Welldonea said to break the silence.
Coraline asked about the slender figure she saw the other night. "It was probably Daisy... she was bringing us the key so we could duplicate it. So we could reach out to you guys." Coraline replied, "What about the dolls?" Welldonea responded, "We made dolls as gifts. We made all of them so that they had the ability to move and speak... and other stuff you want them to do." Libby asked about Angel's scars. "Well... her father wasn't very good." Welldonea responded with a sorrowful tone.
Billie tried to cheer the mood, "So... there are stars in the sky and the moon... and invisible clouds... and we are in a house... and... we are all supposed to be happy about... uh... the stars... the sky... and yeah." There was silence, then sudden laughter. Everyone went into friendly conversation. And then they went back to bed.
