Taehyung dug his freezing hands into his pockets as he walked home from Jimin's house in the dark. He pulled his hood over his tinted red ears, which were icy and gave the latter a headache. As he trudged through the cold night, the breeze hitting his face, he couldn't help but feel an uncomfortableness rise in the bottom of his stomach. Pushing it off as him being hungry, he continued to walk towards his disfunctional home.

He opened the door, the handle just as cold as you would expect, and walked into the dim lighting of the kitchen. He silently took off his shoe's, trying to make little noise as possible. he continued his way towards the stairs, but something in the living room caught his vision.

There his mother lay on the couch, her body twisted towards the tv and no expression visible on her face.

Taehyung walked closer, thinking maybe she had fallen asleep while watching one of her TV dramas. That is until, he saw the nearly empty alcohol bottle hanging from one of her pale hands.

Taehyung sighed, grabbing it from her hand along with the other two on the coffee table and walked away to throw them in the trash.

He wasn't surprised, no, this happens way too many times. But that didn't stop him from being disappointed. He's tried. He's tried to put her in therapy, in a group, in rehab. But every time it would just make her worse. She would get mad and it just never worked out. He doesn't know why he thought she would change, why he still has faith in her. He just wants the mom he had before.

But, people change, for the better or for the worse they change. Taehyung had a strong feeling she wouldn't change back.

And that's why he's not telling his family about Jimin. They didn't attended the star ceremony along side Taehyung, pushing and pushing the believe that soulmates are nothing but lies further into their messed up brains.

Taehyung fell along side them for awhile. Having his family breakdown and crumble into pieces because of these soulmates affected him, too. It took him awhile to realize that it wasn't because of soulmates, it was simply because there are shitty people in the world.

He know's Jimin isn't a shitty person. He doesn't even see one hint of evil in his big brown eyes. He just sees a boy who is ready to love, a kind, genuine person.

Taehyung finds Jimin as a gift from the heavens above, an angel that has come to restore his heart and faith in humanity.

Taehyung's in love, and maybe he doesn't acknowledge it yet, but he's in love.

The next morning, Taehyung finds himself waking up to his phone ringing. Rolling over to his bedside table, he picks up his phone.

"Baby💕"

He frowned as he was concerned why Jimin would call him at... Oh, it was already 12 in the afternoon. He disconnected the charger and brought the phone up to his ear.

"hey Jimin, whats up?" He asked, smiling as he felt Jimin's presence through his phone.

"Hey Tae, I was wondering if you wanted to come over for dinner tonight, my mom is inviting some of our extended family and she wants you to meet them. Is that okay?" Jimin asked, blushing slightly just from thinking about his family gushing over Tae.

"of course, I'd love to come. What time should I be over there by?"

"ummm, around 5."

"Ok, I'll be there. See you later."

"Bye Tae,"

Taehyung sighed, excited to see Jimin again today.

Deciding to take a shower, he grabbed his essentials and headed off to the bathroom.

"Mom, he'll be over by 5." Jimin said, walking into the kitchen where his mom was already starting the preparations for dinner. She smiled, turning around.

"Perfect sweetie," she simply said, rummaging through the cabinets. Jimin nodded, standing there and admiring the decorations his mom had put on the table. "You didn't invite his family?" She asked turning around and catching Jimin off guard.

"Uhhh, no. His family doesn't really, um, do these things." He replied, trying to get the point across. His mom nodded, understanding what her son was trying to get at.

"That's too bad," she replied simply, smiling up at Jimin.

"Yeah,"
