The stage lights reflected over her slim figure as if all of the heavens were focusing on her as strummed her guitar and sang passionately. The crowd around me was screaming at the top of their lungs with excitement and yet I could perfectly hear her gentle voice. I couldn't help but be drawn to her.
For a moment and only for this moment, her eyes met mine and the world stood still. Her plum face, full lips, curly chocolate brown hair, even the acne and freckles covering her cheeks looked cute! And oh god those eyes! Nothing I've seen before, her left eye was swirling with comfort and warmth trapped in a chocolate hue while a hidden bright grass field was inside her right eye.
In a blink of an eye, I was on stage with her. It was just the two of us in an empty world, just the two of us standing face to face. My heart was pounding against my chest as she walked closer and placed her calloused hand on my hip, "Lucy," She breathed, her thumb tracing over my bottom lip. The moment the perfect, moment was coming to its climax, her lips were right over mine, I held my breath and closed my eyes...then I woke up.
The next thing I knew I was face to face, not with the girl of my dreams, but my dorm roommate, Rita, and her boring hazel eyes, "Lucy, come on, get up. You'll be late again." She sighs giving me a scolding look.
I huff and sit up, "Geez thanks, mom!" I mocked being irritated. What the hell was with that weird dream anyway? I've never seen that girl in my life.
Rita rolls her eyes and pinches my cheeks, "Well maybe if you woke up on time and didn't spend your time daydreaming I wouldn't have to act like your mother. Now hurry up, breakfast is ready." She says before walking away with her neat blonde ponytail bouncing along with each step.
I glare at her back as I rub my redden cheeks, "I wasn't daydreaming..." I mutter before getting dressed in my school's uniform which looked like any other private school uniform: White button-up shirt, black shirt, black tie, and a blue jacket with the Lennon High School's emblem on the right breast pocket.
"Lucy! The breakfast is getting cold!" Rita warns from the kitchen.
"Alright, alright! I'm coming! I'm coming!" I shout being annoyed. I hated it when she bosses me around. Only because she's two grades higher than me doesn't mean she's better than me.
I make my way to the kitchen table and sit down to eat. Lucky for me, Rita was an amazing cook and always makes my favorite blueberry pancakes!
I waste no time in devouring my stack of heaven on a plate. I savored every bite as if it was going to be my last. The fluffiness of the pancake, the sweetness of the maple syrup, and the juiciness of blueberries all clashing creating a loud beautiful symphony in my mouth! It was perfect no beyond perfect it was-
"Don't forget to drink milk with your pancakes," Rita interrupts.
"Goddammit, Rita! Couldn't you see I was having a moment!?" I shout at her.
"Is that why you were making those weird faces? For a second I thought you were having a stroke or something," She says bluntly.
"What!? No! I don't make weird faces! You do! You're just jealous you aren't as pretty as me!" I growl defensively.
Rita rolls her eyes and shrugs, "Whatever lets you sleep at night, I guess." She says as she gets up and washes her dishes, "I'll get going now, remember to wash your dishes and try not to be late for class," she sighs before leaving.
"Yeah, yeah," I huff as I get up and wash my dish before going to the bathroom to fix my hair and brush my teeth but Rita's words kept echoing in my head, do I really make weird faces?
I look up at my mirror and stare at my face frowning at what I was seeing until seeing not me but the girl of my dreams. "Lucy, " she calls out softly from the mirror with a soft charming smile.
I quickly close my eyes and slap myself before opening them only seeing my reflection again, "Why am I getting so worked up because of that dream? I'm not even into girls." I tell myself as I wash my face. I couldn't help myself from glancing up at the mirror a few times before quickly pulling away.
"Time for another day in hell," I sigh getting my bag and leaving for my homeroom class when I see my best. friend Michelle, "Mich!" I call out as I hugged her, "Hey Lucy, I was waiting for you. Have you heard the news?" She asks hugging me back.
"News? What news?" I ask curiously.
"The news about the new transfer student, " Mich says.
"What!? Are you serious!? Is it a boy or a girl!?" I ask excitedly. I love new students they are just so fun to tease and because I'm the most popular girl at school it's my job to give them the Lennon greeting.
"A girl from what I hear," Mich recalls.
"That's perfect! Tell me, so is she's an actress' daughter? Or a popular singer's daughter!? Maybe the presidents!?"
Mich thinks for a bit and shakes her head, "From what I heard she's from a poor family and got in through a scholarship."
"W-what!? Is the principal insane!? This school is for only the elite children like us! Those poor people couldn't last a second in this place!? What if she tries to steal our stuff!?" I exclaim freaking out.
"Maybe, we should probably keep our doors locked at night just in case." She says just as the bell rings.
Frist that weird dream and now this!? What the hell is the world coming to!?
I huff and made my way to class. As expected the lecture was long and boring. My mind couldn't help but wonder away to my dream world to my great mansion with a large pool, twenty corgies, and the girl of my dreams...wait! No! Not her!? Why am I still thinking about that stupid dream!? I'm not even into girls!
"Ladies and gentlemen may I have your attention, please. Today we have a student joining us today. Mind introducing yourself?" The teacher says.
Not now teach! Can't you see I'm having a crisis!?
"Umm...hello, my name is Pam Starr, I'm from Liverpool, England, I'm 17, and umm...I like playing my guitar and football well...I guess you call it soccer here, "
WAIT!?
WAIT A SECOND!?
THAT VOICE!
NO! IT CAN'T BE!
I shoot up out of my seat and stare at the new student. It was her! ACNE AND EVERYTHING! IT WAS HERE!
"YOU! WHAT THE HELL HAVE YOU BEEN DOING IN MY DREAMS!?" I roar.
