Yewon's POV
(Flashback to Chapter 1)
"We're sorry Ms. Kim but the hole in your heart is getting bigger and bigger each day. I'm sorry to say but your chances of continue living even if you get surgery is low already." Mom broke down crying when the doctor reported my health status. I have been diagnosed with Atrial Septal Defect for 2 months now. I haven't told Yoongi about it yet and I have no plans on telling him. I don't want him to pity me and see me as a weak girl.
"Thank you Doctor." I bowed and we went out of his office. Mom hugged me tightly and I was just dumbfounded. I couldn't believe it. I feel like yesterday I just met Yoongi and was happy with all my friends and now I'm literally dying. Was I a murderer in my past life to be given this?
"Mom. I'll be alright." I tried cheering her up and hugged her. I cried silently on her shoulder as she sobbed loudly on mine. I'm sorry.
