Valentina POV
Hailey was right. It was all my fault. But what I didn't understand was why Hailey became so close with Flavio and why she couldn't even speak to me when I came back. I am the girl who fought for her! I was actually heartbroken. The only reason I came back was her ..-well, Flavio too, but Hailey was like a little sister to me.
I was on the floor, my head buried in my hands. Sophia waltzed her way towards me and picked up the letter. She picked it up and took a minute or so to read it. Minutes later, she screamed. I didn't blame her really, Flavio and her grew up together and even though the last time she saw him she gave him a slap, she loved him with all her heart and obviously didn't want him to leave. I would understand if she attacked me, there and then, because after all, it was my fault.
Placing my hand on her shoulder to comfort her, I stood up. Sophia threw my hand off her and looked at me with an angry face. "I'm so sorry. I really am," I whispered, looking into her blue-grey eyes. I took a moment to analyse her facial features. Anyone would have obviously thought we were sisters. We had similar eyes, matching blonde hair, same colour light skin and the same nose.
"Sorry isn't going to bring him back, is it...sis?" Sophia replied, forcing the word 'sis' out as if it was a contagious disease waiting to kill her.
"Well, I know but I am as sad as you."
"No you're not. You rejected him. You had him thinking you liked Trey. You had us all fooled." Sophia took a step towards me.
I closed the space between us. "It's not my fault he overreacted. He shouldn't have judged without the facts!"
Sophia did a double-take, obviously shocked at what I had just said. She slapped me hard across the face. I didn't want to start a fight so I left it. One more move and I would hit her. I stayed looking to the left, the direction she slapped me in. I looked at her, my face straight. No tears in my eyes, no emotion on my face.
"Take that back," Sophia growled. I didn't reply. I simply looked down at the ground as if to say sorry. Sophia stepped back and slapped me again.
"Hell no. You did not just slap me? I thought we were calm now? I guess not!" I grunted.
I slapped her back and pulled her blonde hair down. She grabbed my knees and dug her nails ino my thighs. I screamed in pain. It would be hard for me to kick, seeing as I was in a white plain dress. At least I was wearing my shorts underneath.
Suddenly, Sophia lifted her leg to kick me with her stilettos and I lifted mine at exactly the same time. My heel was inches away from her nose, and the same with hers. Every breath I breathed out of my nose, it bounced back on my warm skin, off Sophia's heel.
My stilettos were special. They had blades in the heels. Sophia didn't know that however she kept staring at the heel. She couldn't know about my heel. Definitely not. Could she?
"Put your foot down," she ordered.
"Only if you put yours down first." I squinted my eyes.
Sophia slowly put her leg so I put down mine. "I know about your heels. If it makes any contact with any skin, a blade comes out. I saw it when you were knocked out," Sophia informed me. I looked at her and raised an eyebrow. "But I know you, you would have struck me anyway."
