The leaves swirling around her made her look like a princess, straight from a fairytale. I sighed, and turned away, a small frown etching my porcelain face. Raine and I had been best friends forever, and we knew everything about each other. Simple things, like favorite colors and foods, but also some more personal stuff. Raine had come out to me just a couple years ago, stating she was bisexual.
“Alida...”
“Ya Rai?” I responded.
“I, I have something to tell you…”
I was surprised, but I covered it well. “ Whats wrong?
“Well, nothings wrong per say…it’s just… Well, I’m bi.”
“Oh.”
Raine looked all around the room, at the paintings, the shelves, and even the tiles.
“ Aw, Rai, I have no problem with that! Just, promise me we’ll always be friends? No matter what?”
“Of course! BFF’s for life!”
I launched myself at Rai, we hugged, and everything went back to normal.
Two years later, and we were still best friends. But then, something happened. I fell in love with Rai.
