[eng version] Not the faintest glimmer of hope

Chapter 1

The sun rays go across the window and lightened the face of a young man whose name is Finn.
He woke up and peeped at his clock.
"Oh my god !!!! It's quarter to seven !!!! I will be late !!!!" he said

He dressed up and left his home. He ran through the street and arrived to the railway station.
He took the opportunity to read his lessons since his train was supposed to arrive twenty minutes later.
Finn was very stressful because he has an exam this morning.

Fourty-five minutes later, Finn found himself outside his University.
When he returned to his exam room, his teacher exclaimed :

- Are you kidding me, Mr Wang ? Not only you're late but you want to pass the exam while you were dissmissed ?

The student frowned, he didn't understand the situation.

- I'm so sorry, my train arrived late and I didn't know that I was dissmissed.

- Your stepfather called yesterday night and he canceled your scholarship. There was no need to study.

Both shocked and disappointed, Finn went down the stairs. As soon he left the University, he took his mobile phone and called his stepfather.

- Why did you decied for me ? You should have told me.

- I didn't want to spoil your study, however I was dissmissed and I couldn't pay your scholarship. I advise you to look for a job while I'm unemployed.

- I don't want to work NOW, I want to continue my study !!!!! I will have to pass the exam next year.

- You aren't mature enough !!!!! How will you get money to pay your study ???

Finn walked across the city to calm himself and went into the little-down alleys. He stopped in front of a abandoned house. He had discovered this place two years ago and come often when he was in trouble.

He used to whisper his issues in the dining room. He likes feeling easy and being out of sight of people's eyes.

POV Finn

I was in this place for three days. I ate one half apple at each meal.
I was here on account of my stepfather.

I couldn't bear my stepfather since I met him. When my mother announced me that she met a man, I was happy for her.
However, it confirmed that he despises me. He wanted to get rid of me and that he forced me to do lots of activities on weekends to get as far away from home
as possible.
But my mom didn't notice that because she was love-struck.

POV omniscient

- Do you think we will find some money or gold in this house  ?

- Believe me, people used to hide their jewels in abandoned houses.

Two mans who were wearing balaclavas and guns wanted to enter in the house where Finn slept.

When the young man heard the door squeak, he woke up with a start. He grabbed his wallet and his mobile phone in his bag and he remains hidden behind
the opaque curtain.
The steps moved away and he jumps out of the window.

- Hey  ! There's someone in this house  who is running away !!!

The thief pursued him and caught up with him.

- Give me your money, you're not leaving here until I won't get a coin.

- I would never give a penny for you, even if you were a beggar.

The thief pushed him against the wall and beat him. We heard"clacking" at the end of the street, so much he did so hard.
He had even threatened Finn who was becoming more and more frightened.

Suddenly, a shadow appeared behind the thief. The young man saw a knife grazing his attacker's neck.

- Leave that kid alone, he didn't do anything to you. Besides you can see that
there's no interest, he had nothing on him.

- You're probably the one who is going to stop me from doing what I want.

- Get out of there, I won't say it again.

The thief eventually left and Finn's protector said to him  :

- Come with me, I will heal your wounds.

Finn didn't know if the can trused him.
