It was the middle of the night, and the rain is still pouring hard. Even though the lightning had subsided, the strong winds made the rain harsh. Chenle opened his eyes, adjusting his sight on his dark bedroom.
He immediately knew that he was not on his bed. It became his habit when thunderstorm occurs. As a child, he would go to his parent's room and sleep with them. Growing up, he still had that habit. He opened his eyes wide and can tell that he was sleeping with someone.
He can also tell that his head is not laying on a soft pillow, but on someone's chest. "It would be really awkward if this is Jisung.." he thought before looking up. And it was Jisung after all. The taller's hands protectively wrapped on his waist.
While his own hands are wrapped on Jisung's torso. He looked up and saw his bestfriend sleeping peacefully. He slowly pulled away his hand and reaches on his face, tracing Jisung's face with his finger.
He traced his forehead, down to the nose, and when his finger was about to reach the mouth, Jisung softly bit his finger, making him yelp in shocked. "Aaaah!" Chenle quickly pulled away his hand while Jisung slowly smiles.
"You're awake?" Chenle asked. Jisung just nods. "Bad Jisung!" the smaller pouts, and starts to pull away from Jisung's body to return on his own bed. However, Jisung doesn't want him to let go. He tightened his hug on the smaller.
"What are you doing?!" Chenle pouts again. Jisung opened his eyes and looks at the smaller fondly. "Not letting you go.." "Guanlin would get angry.." he whined. "He knew.." Jisung answered.
Chenle couldn't believed it. He raises up his head and looks at the other bed, finding it empty. "Where is he?" he asked. He looks at Jisung again and saw him sleeping. He poked his cheek. "Sungiieeeee..." "I'm sleepy, Lele.."
The smaller didn't give up and treat it like a game. "Sunngieee.." he cutely called Jisung's name. However, on the third time, Jisung couldn't take it anymore. "Sungiee-"
He flipped them up, changing their positions. Jisung, hovering on Chenle, while the smaller is underneath of him. They both stared at their eyes. "I was just joking, Sungie.." Jisung just smirked and starts to lean closer.
The smaller closed his eyes, expecting a kiss. He could feel Jisung's breath hitting his face. Minute had passed and he still can't comprehend what's happening. He slowly opened his eyes and saw Jisung just staring at him.
"Are you expecting a kiss?" Jisung smirked, teasing him. Chenle blushes and hides his face. "Why would I expect a kiss?!" he stuttered, making Jisung laugh. "You're a bad liar, Lele.." Then he flips them again, making Chenle laying on his chest again.
"I'm sleepy.." Jisung softly said. Chenle just smiled and softly settled himself on top of Jisung.
Guanlin went down to the kitchen and saw Mrs. Zhong drinking tea at the table while reading a book. The woman noticed his presence and looks up. "Can't sleep, Guanlin? Let's have some tea.."
He happily joined Chenle's mom for a tea and it made him feel relaxed. He decided to open up what happened upstairs. "Chenle goes to Jisung's bed and slept with him.." he sadly said.
Mrs. Zhong sips her tea before replying. "It was his childhood habit.. When his father was here, if there's a thunderstorm, he would quickly go to his father and will hugged him, craving for comfort.."
Guanlin looks at her. "He went to Jisung because he felt safe and warm.. And he knew that Jisung would protect him.. Guanlin tried to answer. "But-"
"Only one thing is for sure, Guanlin.." she raised her cup. "Chenle didn't go to you because he thinks that he would not be safe on your guidance.. And that's the real tea, Guanlin.." she said, making the boy dumbfounded.
