Chapter 10: Awkward confession

- After school -

"Ding dong..." The last bell rung as the class broke into chatter, noisy sounds coming from students standing up, running around or just blandly talking.

"Class is over, get home safely kids. See you all tomorrow." Mr. Kim said as he left the classroom, sliding the door shut.

The students got up and packed their stuff, ready to go home. Some stayed for their after school duties while others just hanging around chitchatting with their friends.

Namjoon on the other side, just wanted to quickly get out of this place. He had been avoiding Yoongi the whole day from his own judgement that he refused to bump into the male any seconds now to get in any awkward situation.

He swiftly shoved the books into his backpack, slung it over his shoulders then headed out of the classroom. It happened that he walk into Taehyung on the way and despite the male greeting him, Namjoon ignored walking away without even looked back. He felt guilty for avoiding his friend but he's just not in a mood to encounter anyone at the moment. His mind was fuzzy with the event this morning.

Taehyung however after being ignored by Namjoon was left stunned. He stood their with mouth gaped like a fish without water. The male was baffled because Namjoon never act so cold like that to him before even if his antic went a bit overboard, this was the first time and Taehyung was shock.

He only snapped back into reality when Jimin approached him from behind and patted his shoulder. It's kind of bugged Jimin that Taehyung just stood there like a statue when everyone already left.

"You're not going Tae? Jungkook is waiting." Jimin said, grabbing Taehyung attention.

"A-ah yeah." The male stuttered, he coughed to regain his posture. "We should really get going."

With that they both headed out while Taehyung still hold a confused expression on his face, something seemed to bother his mind. Jimin felt concern as the sudden silent Taehyung consider the male always come up with all kind of ruckus so he decided to ask.

"What's on your mind Tae? You look bothered." Jimin asked as he tilted his head in a questionable manner.

"Hm?" Taehyung hummed, he wondered a bit before release a heaving sighed. He turned to look at Jimin directly then speak up softly. "I was just thinking about Namjoon's weird behaviour earlier."

Jimin has now felt fully concern about what's on Taehyung mind, it was true that Namjoon has been acting oddly since morning but nothing specifically happened during the day except for the fact that Namjoon has been spacing a lot more than usual. It was rather worrying now that even Taehyung mentioned about his weird behaviour, Jimin questioned Taehyung's phrase. "Namjoon's weird behaviour? What happened?"

Taehyung chuckled, "He avoid me when I greeted him earlier. It was strange because he never behaved like that before. I don't really know what caused it either."

"That's strange..."

Jimin found that weird too. Namjoon is normally very cheerful and friendly, no matter how bad he felt he never let it out so clearly to concern others. It was one of thousand reasons why Jimin adores Namjoon dearly shamelessly speaking.

As thoughts about what could possibly bothered Namjoon that much the event this morning passed through Taehyung's head. He stopped midway making Jimin bumped into him with a confused look.

"Taehyung?" The male asked but Taehyung just stood their lost in his own world without responding.

Jimin huffed out annoyingly, shaking his head tiredly as he waited for the male to return to Earth. Suddenly he grabbed Jimin's shoulders and shaking him like crazy.
