"I'm home..." Yoongi trailed off as he closed the door behind him and headed upstairs only to be stopped by his mom standing in front of him.
"Honey we need to talk." She breathed out softly, staring intensely at him. Yoongi only sighed, made his way to the living room instead. His father was also there, sitting comfortably on the couch with newspaper on his hands.
Yoongi make himself comfortable on the couch and waited for his parents to talk. His father slowly put the newspaper away and straighten his back, coughing a bit before begin to talk.
"So... son." He said "Have you reconsidered your decision?"
"About what?" Yoongi answered, clearly irritated.
"Honey you knew what we're talking about..." His mom sighed.
He knew. He knew exactly what they're talking about but he didn't want to change his decision. They didn't want him to study musics because they considered that music was not a field he could easily succeed in. Both his parents want him to chose economic instead, but he clearly didn't want that.
Yoongi knew he was born to make music. It was his passion, his dream. What he'd willing to sacrifice for, crave for, live for. If they considered success is when you have a stable life and lots of money, then that success was not for him. It was happiness that he needed, the lost piece he needed to fulfill. And music was one of them.
He inhaled deeply, before exhale again. He scratched his head furiously before looking up only to meet with his parents concerned expression.
"Mom, dad." He started "I will not change my decision. If you guys don't want to support my education, I'll find a part-time job to pay for the tuition fee. I will head to a music university when i'm done with high school."
"Son, why are you this stubborn? Music could stay as your hobby, but to take this seriously, do you think you'll get a job in the future?" Mr. Min shakes his head sorrowfully.
"We both only wanted what best for you. You could still make musics when working as an employee right?" Mrs. Min asked with hopeful voice.
Yoongi let out a long sighed. Why can't his parents get the notorious? Wanted what best for him? Being an average employee was easy, but how about his happiness? Did they not care at all? He wanted to put all his effort for his dream, and no ones going to stop him from that, even his parents.
"Producing music is my dream, I wanted to become a producer." He said stubbornly, gritted his teeth "And if you guys are not helping, then I'll make it work out myself. You said you care for me, but what about my happiness? Did you guys not care about what I want to do at all??!!"
Both Mr. and Mrs. Min were shocked at their son sudden outburst, he was usually calmer. Mr. Min was about to say something only to get cut off by his son.
"Fine, I will find a part-time job. All I need from you guys now is to leave me alone. We have discussed about this topic more than enough already. Now please excuse me, I'm tired and I need to sleep." Yoongi said and with his final word, he left his parents and headed to his room. He didn't care if he's being rude or not, he was too enraged to endure any other thing.
His parents were flabbergasted, stupefied at what's just happen. They needed time to adjust to their son new behavior. Which was hard, Yoongi was born as a rebellious child.
