Without my knowledge, the clock's hands spin fast, the sun setting in the vast.
Another day is done, another day closer to death. What did I do today you ask? Just some math today, that I'll take with me to the grave. Did you have fun, you ask?
Again, I'm one of the last to leave the school.
Shit. I need to get out of here earlier.
Jack is idling by the green fence. I'm about to go back into the school and exit from a different door, but I'm too late...
Jack starts striding to where I'm standing.
Tops it takes him 3 steps, god he's tall.
His legs just go 1, 2,3.
"Hey," he says.
"Um- what do you want?" I ask.
"You're all business I see." he teases.
He takes a deep breath and asks, "You wanna go grab something to eat. I know a really cute cafe around the corner. It's fine if you don't want to. I'm just hungry-"
"What, why are you laughing?" he asks embarrassed.
"Oh nothing, it's just cute to see you get nervous for once and ramble." I laugh.
I guess he's not mister tough shot, I like that. Oh god, you can see his blush furiously. His ears turn a bright tint of red, like in the animes I watch, or it's just my imagination. \
Sigh.
I can't leave him hanging after seeing him wear his emotions on his sleeve like that, "Fine." I finally oblige.
From the fence, we start walking towards the sidewalk. But, it's difficult. He takes one normal step and to catch up, I have to take a million of my tiny ones.
Eventually, he catches on, "Oops." he chuckles mischievously.
"Sorry, it's just your so short." he jokes.
"Oh please stop. I don't need more of your "you're short" remarks. I know I am, and I fucking love it." I huff.
At that moment I can feel his eyes on me, what does he see in me? I stare right back at him, I then see what he sees in me.
He sees discernable beauty and a delicate angel.
But, that's not me.
"So... It's kinda awkward that you're slow," he says.
Ugh.
"No, it's 'cause you're tall."
That's when I can see a childish grin spread across his face like chocolate spread, I don't like chocolate.
"Well, we can fix that." His hands start scooping me up.
"Yo, what the hell?" I squeal.
"Making you taller," he answers.
He flings me on his back and now I'm piggy-backing on Jack Miller. His hands are firm on my legs, he's careful I don't slip off.
Omg, my face feels hot.
Everyone's staring. Envious looks plastered on wherever I look.
Well, recently, I figured out Jack Miller is actually very popular. Swoon-worthy I overheard a few girls say by my locker. But, if they see me with him, I'll definitely not be that nameless girl anymore. I don't know.
