4:38 A.M.

I stand up, legs shaky.

"X, please sit down."

"What's wrong, Madi?" Her eyes look down. My brother spins me by my shoulders and sits me down.

"X." Connor said in the same voice he'd used when he told me about my mom and how she had- oh, God.

"No. " I mumble.

Madi turns around silently and walks out of the room, and I jump up, dodging my brother.

"Madison!" I call out, spotting her pastel purple hair and taking off toward her.

Madi-

4:45 a.m.

"Madison!" I spin my head to nurse Annette helping nurse Patti get Xavier up off the floor.

I jog to them, lifting him quietly into the wheel chair.

"He just- I don't know. Fainted or fell. I just saw him go down." Annette says quietly.
