"ARE YOU SERIOUS??" he yells at us. Vanessa holds my hand tight.
"Well I mean-" I said but he cuts me off.
"No, no, no. Brooklyn, Vanessa. You know how long its been since you guys have last been together??" He looks at his watch and back at us, "10 Freaking years. Vanessa how are your kids going to react that their mommy is now engaged to a new man that isn't Sam. And if you don't remember, no offense mate, but he cheated on you before you left for college!"
"None taken," I said even though I felt an empty pit when he said it.
"Eddie, that was years ago. We were both not in the right mind. Like Jack used to loved me, but look at him now married to a woman who he is definitely in love then a silly old crush," she explains herself, "please Eddie"
"I don't know. Its just...are you guys for sure?" He asks. We nod. He pinches the bridge of his nose but walks back and forth. "Ok, I don't like the idea...but whatever makes you happy."
"Oh thank you thank you thank you Eddie," she says wrapping her arms around his neck.
"Yeah, yeah, so when do you guys plan on tying the knot?" He says while drinking his water.
"Next month," I say and he chokes on his drink. Luckily Maria was there to hit the back of his back....
"What do you mean next month?" He questions us.
"Well you see...I am just so tired of doing things without it being expected..." Vanessa says.
"Well this is definitely unexpected...don't you think its too soon?" Eddie asks.
"Eddie, he's the one. He's always been the one. I was naïve and stubborn to believe it. If the universe didn't want us together, it would've lead me somewhere else. I've been in love with Brooklyn ever since the day I got to know him better. I just want him to be in my life forever..." she says looking at her hands.
"Ok. Ok. Um fine. Ok where do you plan on having the wedding?" He asks.
"At the chapel, but it's going to be a small wedding," I say.
"Yeah, i only have you guys and Jack's family and Brooklyn has his." She says to him.
He keeps walking back and forth. "Okay...Let's have a wedding!"
A month later
"what if I'm not good dad compare to sam?" I asked my dad. I go in five minutes before everything starts.
"Son, don't compare yourself to others. You be the best dad you can be to those kids who look up to you. You show them how they should be taken care of, show them the things their dad never got to. Remember it's up to you to be who you want to be," he says fixing my tie. I nodded and look down at my feet. I feel roller coasters, something I haven't felt in years. It makes me smile.
My mom's head pops out of the closed door, "hello! Can I come in?" We both said yes and she enters.
"Wow look at my handsome men," she brings her hands to her face.
"Hope your talking about us too," Romeo pops up from the sofa chair he was sitting on.
"Now why wouldn't I?" she smiles,"Are you ready?"
I smiled,"Let's get me hitched!"

"Do you Brooklyn, take Vanessa as your lawfully wife for better or for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish; until death do you part?"
"I do," I smiled.
"And do you Vanessa, take Brooklyn as your lawfully husband for better or for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish; until death do you part?"
"I do," I smiled.
"I now pronounce you husband and wife, you may kiss the bride," the priest says and we kiss making our families clap. We separate and smile big at each other. We walk down the aisle once more for our pictures and after party.

"Can we please have the first dance to the bride and groom?" I heard the DJ say and I grab my wife's hand and she follows me to the dance floor.
A song started to play, one I suggested for us "Yellow" by coldplay.
"This song is beautiful," Vanessa says me.
"Well it's true, ya know I love you for life my wife, have I told you that lately my wife?" I say to her and she giggles. I smile, I love the way she giggles.
"Yeah," she smiles, "my charming husband."
"Now is for the parents to dance with the bride and groom," the show says in the speaker. The color on Vanessa's face slowing goes away, until my dad had asked her to dance. She smiled as he speaks to her, her eyes get watery. Especially when the DJ asked for the kids to dance with us. -
We say bye to everyone as we head off to our hotel so we can take off to our honeymoon tomorrow. We get in the car, as we still wave goodbye to everyone.
"I have a question for you," I state.
"What would that be?" She responds.
"What does your schedule look like tonight?" I winked at her and she giggles.
"For you my love, I will clear it up," we smile and kiss.
I'm the luckiest man.
