The Wrong Bathroom (5)

The school bell rings, and your head spins as you blink, the pain in your fifteen-year-old chest aching. Ah. Love was painful. But revenge was supposed to be much much sweeter.

Then why did you feel as if you had just had your heart ripped out of your chest?

Taehyung runs after Jungkook and you feel absolutely guilty. Had you just kissed Taehyung despite knowing he was possibly dating Jungkook?

You run to the bathroom, feeling disgusted with yourself. It wasn't true anyway right? 

"What the hell man!"

"Get out!"

"Is that-"

Tears flood your eyes and you can't quite see, but you realize you've walked into the men's bathroom, and there, in front of your eyes are both Taehyung and Jungkook, leaning against the wall amidst the rest of the guys in the bathroom. The pair look shocked to see you while the other guys being creating a ruckus about how a girl had just walked into the guys bathroom.

A stall  door swings open and you see Yoongi walk out, somewhat frustrated as you hear him mumble something along the lines of "...duck...why is there never any ducking soap-"

"Ay Kook, Tae. What's up."

The atmosphere is weirdly awkward as you realize no one else in the bathroom is aware of the drama that had just happened between you, Jungkook and Tae. The rest of the men rush out quite quickly with Yoongi's appearance and leave the four of you alone in the bathroom. Yoongi opens the tap and begins rinsing his hands, looking around.

Yoongi suddenly notices you and squints his eyes to look at you, somewhat surprised. "Guys are we in the wrong bathroom?"

You notice Taehyung's hand is resting on Jungkook's shoulder, and you notice their close proximity. Jungkook and Taehyung are both staring at you, and you don't bother meeting Taehyung's eyes because you're quite sure you can never look him in the eyes again after what happened.

Taehyung was naturally flirty, right? It was normal- but you were the one who had made things awkward by pushing the boundaries and closing the gap between your lips. There was no excuse. You didn't understand why Taehyung hadn't pushed you away disgusted.

Everyone in the bathroom seems to get alerts on their phones one after the other, and you pull yours out to check a new video, headlined, Girl gets in between Taekook.

You feel like crying out of frustration, and you wonder if you were secretly part of the cast of Gossip Girl and someone would jump out any second and yell "You just got pranked!" But, there was nothing. Just an awkward silence as you and the boys stood at opposite ends of the bathroom, the only sound, was the open tap as Yoongi proceeded to wash his hands. Anger burns in your chest as you notice, Jungkook isn't even looking at you.

God. This ends now.

You walk up past Yoongi, and shove your phone right into Jungkook's face, doing something you had been scared to do for over a year. Approach him. "Is it true? Are the rumors true?"

Jungkook's face goes soft as he glances at you and proceeds to scan your phone with his eyes. He doesn't say a word. He simply looks back up at you, expressionless. Unspoken words flitter between you two. You had just talked to him for the first time in nearly a year, and it was uncomfortable. Taehyung shifts awkwardly at the atmosphere between the both of you, unaware of the problems you had both buried away, unsolved.
