But the fact that he came here should mean something more serious.

The sun is setting as we're chilling on the terrace, playing with Aki, talking.
I ask him why he stopped texting me before their last concert and he explains they had to make some changes to their schedule, because of that he was working non stop and at night he was exhausted.
"I said to myself to focus on work so that time would pass quicker and then I could focus all my attention on you". He explains, sweet.
"Okay, I get it".
"But then, after the concert, I was finally free and couldn't wait to text you. When they told us we had one week for ourselves texting you suddenly wasn't enough. I booked the flight. While I was preparing the bags I couldn't stop smiling. I was so excited that I decided to surprise you". He confesses revealing a light blushing that makes my heart flutter.
"What if I wouldn't been home?" I ask curious.
"I would have come to you anywhere". He replies calm with deep voice.

His eyes are firm and gentle at the same time, showing me he's sincere. That flatters me. And scares me a little, I think.
I divert my gaze on the suddenly very interesting strings of my shorts, and change the subject of the conversation. "O-ok... Well aren't you hungry? I am. It's dinner time already. What can we eat?"
I stand up, pretty much mumbling to myself, and head to the fridge. Disappointed I open and close it immediately after. It's empty since I should have left the next day.
"What do you think if we order some pizza?" I ask him nonchalantly, noticing he followed me as I wait for his answer.
"Yes, let's do that". He chuckles amused by my acting.

After the pizza and some ice-cream I keep in the freezer exactly for occasions like this, we stay on the terrace enjoying the fresh breeze of the evening that brings us the warm scents of summer. We sit on a sofa looking at each other but there's space between us. I am a little nervous to close that space.
