Olive closed her laptop and got up to see what the weird noise was, before she knew it the plane started descending downwards. Soon she crashed onto an island but something seemed off about the landing and this..place..
She got out of the plane so she could see where she had crashed. When she stepped out, there was an out of place puddle. Something about this place, seemed very familiar. She decided to explore when, she saw two figures behind a tree she went over to the figures, hoping they could help her.
When Olive got closer to them she saw it was a girl and a boy, the girl had dark flowing teal hair, she had a weird mark on her arm it was tattoo. The boy was a bit taller, he had dark green hair, and was hiding behind the girl.
"Hello there, I am Olive Pruitt, I was just wondering if you could help me" Olive said to the figures.
"Oh, well I uhmm believe..we uhh can?.." The girl said.
"Is English not your first language if not, I know a lot of other languages" Olive said.
"Well I don't believe you know, my language.." The girl said.
"Why would that be??" Olive said.
"Our language is a little difficult some would say" The girl said.
"I speak many languages that are 'Difficult' " Olive said.
"Ka niko tei?" The girl said.
"I'm sorry, could you repeat that..?" Olive said.
The girl sighed and said.
"I said, Oh really now? See, you don't understand it's only a language that we know" The girl said, she had an attitude.
"Hmm, I doubt that" Olive said.
The boy sighed and whispered something to the girl.
"Ahh 25, 17.."
The boy nodded.
"If you're talk in computer code, it won't work I'm an expert coder" Olive said, sounding a tad bit cocky.
"Oh, then what does 15 mean?" The girl said.
"Obey" Olive said.
"Wrong code, dork " The girl said.
The boy whispered something else to the girl, she responded in a weird language.
"So by the way, I'm Mei and my good friend here is Cobalt!" The girl said.
"Oh, Cobalt like the shade of blue? His eyes do resemble that" Olive said.
Cobalt tilted his head in confusion, Mei whispered to him and he nodded.
"Any who, can you help me with what I said earlier, or do I need to find someone who's actually helpful?" Olive said.
"We can help, sure" Mei said.
A girl who was a bit shorter and who had a very mischievous look on her face snuck up behind Mei and Cobalt.
"REE!!!!!!!!!!!!" The girl screamed.
Mei jumped, but Cobalt screamed, he sounded like a girl, Mei started laughing and Olive started giggling a little.
"Ce nabu nevi!!" The girl said.
"Naku le pa..."
"Zan av bink?" The girl said.
"This is Olive, she's from the plane that just crashed" Mei explained.
"Kaaaa" The girl said.
A girl who looked almost exactly like the other on but with emo hair came up.
"Asha stop" The emo one said.
"Oyi, wait..why you speakin English Thana?" Asha said.
"Because she human, idiot" Thana said.
"I not idiot, wait she human?" Asha said, making Olive cringe at the bad English.
Thana facepalmed and said.
"Yes, she's human Asha." Thana said.
"Wait what? Aren't you human?" Olive said.
"Well not exactly, we're guardians, we protect the island we're assigned to" Mei said.
"Guardians aren't real it's just a story my crazy great grandmother Becky came up with" Olive said.
Mei looked offended.
"Not real? I'm standing right here! Or..do you want proof?" Mei said.
"Of course I want proof!" Olive said.
Mei had water around her hand, and the tattoo was glowing.
"What the? That can't be possible!" Olive said.
Mei then made a figure out of the water and smirked.
"How!?!?!?!?!?!?!?" Olive said, very confused.
"Magic! That's how, Pruitt!" Mei said.
"But magic is based off of science!" Olive said.
"Hmm, then..how am I doing this?" Mei said. while making a perfect sphere of water float.
"W-Well uhm! You see uhh.." Olive said, she seemed a bit flustered.
"Try logicking your way out of that, genius!" Thana said, being a bit sassy.
"I believe you mean, try to logic your way out of that" Olive said.
"Whatever" Thana said.
"Of course typical response from a simple minded person" Olive said.
Cobalt whispered something to Mei, again and Mei's eyes lit up.
"Hey Dorky ya crashed right?" Mei said.
"Why yes I did" Olive said.
"Well..you se-" Mei said.
"What?" Olive said.
"You...here....because..bi- the.....magic..." Cobalt said, not sounding confident.
"Magic is not..never mind..I'll find my way off I don't need a plane" Olive said.
Mei gave Olive a little look but said.
"Well..if you don't have a plane or boat..you're pretty screwed.." Mei said.
"Who said I couldn't make a boat?" Olive said.
"If you're thinking about wood, don't..it'll end badly for you" Mei said.
"I have some spare parts from some old projects I could use" Olive said.
"Oh, so tech..so worse than wood, so you are a tech nerd.. 'wonderful' " Mei said.
"1. Not necessarily tech, I have many different pieces of scrap metal, 2. Have you ever heard of water proof/water resistent? and 3. Yes I am a tech girl, is there a problem with that?" Olive said.
"If I may.. 1. I really don't give a fuck, 2. Yes I have, did you just forget what i showed you? You know..I just control water!..nothing big..3. Yes! Tech is shit! The stuff's only brought horrible shit for us" Mei said.
"Ugh I don't have time for this.. I'll just call Julia she can probably get me out of this" Olive said.
"Wow, I'm sure another oblivious human can help you" Mei said, it wasn't obvious if it was sarcasm or not.
Olive walked away, tried to call someone on her phone but there was no service.
" *Sigh* Great.."
Then, she bumped into someone, someone tall.
"Oh! I'm so sorry I hadn't seen you there" It was a boy, he looked to be a prince.
"No, it's my fault..are you calling me short?!" Olive said.
"N-No, I was looking the wrong way..I'm sorry.." The boy said.
"It's not your fault, it was my fault I was trying to call someone" Olive said.
The boy helped her up.
"Oh.. I'm Leo by the way.." The boy said.
"The name's Olive, Olive Pruitt" Olive extended her hand for a handshake.
Leo accepted.
"Well..I've got..friends I must be seeing..but I must ask..not to be rude..but you don't seem like you're from here? Where..are you from?" Leo asked.
"Yes I'm not from here, And why does it matter to you where I'm from?" Olive said.
"My apologies..just curios..shouldn't have asked.." Leo said.
"No it's fine I'm just a little..out of it right now.." Olive said.
"You know..you remind me..of....a friend of mine.." Leo said.
"Oh really?.." Olive said.
"Yeah..she's...got..a similar attitude..uhmm not to be rude.." Leo said.
Some noises were heard from the plane, Olive perked up and ran over to the plane saying.
"My baby!!!"
"Uhmm...uhh...what?.." Leo said, clearly confused.
A drone flew out from the plane and circled around Olive a bit, Olive looked over at Leo.
"Oh, sorry this is Mercury my uhh..drone" Olive explained.
"Ohh..uhh I..uhh okay..?" Leo said.
"He's uhh..he's like a friend to me.." Olive said.
"Uhmm..like a friend?..I..uhmm...how can...a machine..be your friend..?" Leo asked.
"Well, you have to work with their code a bit, some people find it really difficult but it's really simple when you think about it at least for me it was" Olive said.
"Well..not everyone..can do tech...so it's..understandable.." Leo said.
"Did I say it wasn't understandable?" Olive said.
"You didn't, your attitude implied it" Leo said.
"I don't have time for this, I have to get off this island.." Olive said.|
"Well.....isn't time...a per- uhh never mind! Uhmm..well I..could try to help you..?" Leo said.
"You could?!" Olive said.
"Well..I could try.." Leo said.
"Perfect, then you're much more helpful then the other people I met here" Olive said.
"Wait..that can't be right.." Leo said.
"What can't be right?" Olive said.
"Well, the other guardians..are..actually quite nice..they'd try to help..unless..well..the person was..not the nicest.." Leo said.
"Well, they said that they were gonna help and then they didn't.." Olive said.
"I..don't believe that..not for a second.." Leo said.
"Well believe it, unless you want to go ask them yourself I'll just figure a way out of here on my own.." Olive said.
"No no..I don't think you've got this..right I mean..maybe it was lost in conversation..?" Leo said.
"I'm sorry are you doubting MY Ability?" Olive said.
"I'm not doubting, I'm saying you've got this all wrong..it's quite different" Leo said.
"Sure..look are you gonna help or not?" Olive said.
"I'd love to but 1. You kind of have a little attitude problem 2. You're being a bit quick, try thinking through this and try again.." Leo said.
"Attitude problem!?!?! You try crash landing on an island when you're supposed to be somewhere!!" Olive said.
"Look! I'm not saying that that's irrelevant but, instead of worrying about a place! What about say..you? Or..you know..more important things.." Leo said.
"My father is going to kill me and probably most of the people if I work with if I'm not there on time or close" Olive said.
"Oh...I see who you are.." Leo said.
"What's that supposed to mean?!" Olive said.
"You're being one of those people...that can't relax for a moment!" Leo said.
"Ughh!! Mercury contact Julia!" Olive said.
"I'll just leave you to be as bad as those you claimed were.." Leo said.
"Look, I'm sorry..there that what you want?" Olive said.
"Don't apologize and not mean it..I can see what you are..and that's fine..as long as you get as far away from us as possible and make ti to whatever you must do, that's great.." Leo said.
"Alright, so you guys don't like tech because it 'ruins your life' When you guys are ignoring it instead of embracing it" Olive said.
"*Sigh* I never said that..But it is awful around here, multiple scientists or other people use it to try and destroy our land or harm us.." Leo said.
"B-But..t-that's not what science is there for!" Olive said.
"*Sigh* It's..what happens around here.." Leo said.
"Well, it's wrong." Olive said.
"Yes..but..those people..don't know that.." Leo said.
'Well they should" Olive said.
"Just like...how say...people should..not have one assumption?" Leo said.
"Oh shut up!" Olive said.
"I-I'm...just saying.." Leo said.
"I-If you guys want..I could..try to help you with these kind of things..?" Olive said.
"Well, yeah..but..I think if that's to happen...you need to...maybe..talk with them..?" Leo said.
"*Sigh* Alright.." Olive said.
"Well, then they might be able to help you.." Leo said.
"Alright, but you're coming with me!" Olive said.
"Well, that was the plan..wasn't it?" Leo said.
"Well..uhh how was I supposed to know?" Olive said.
"You know..let's just go.." Leo said.
They walked back to the other four.
"Ah, hello again glasses.." Mei said.
"Hey.." Olive said.
"Oh, hey Princey!" Mei said.
"Uhmm hi.." Leo said.
"So why you back?" Thana asked.
"Well..I wanted to help you.." Olive said.
"Help with..what exactly?" Mei said.
"Leo had told me, what you guys go through with scientists and everything.." Olive said.
"Kaaa- I mean, ohhhh that makes sense.." Mei said.
Mei whispered to Cobalt, what had just been said, Cobalt seemed to understand.
"If you..want my help and everything.." Olive said.
"As long as there's no fights between us I'm cool with it glasses" Mei said.
"Of course" Olive said.
"Well, this is great! So where we starting nerd?" Mei said.
