January 29'th 1998
It was a snowy day in the magical little town, all seemed normal except for. Madeline was walking as fast as she could down the street looking around, she got to a door and knocked in a rapid fashion. A few seconds passed and Seth opened the door.
"Hello Maddie, what brings you here?" He asked.
"Well, let us in then Mr. Top hat" Maddie asked.
"Right...of course" Seth stepped aside to let her in, Maddie walked into the house. Heather was sat right in front of the fireplace, wrapped up in a blanket.
"Ah, hello cloak master 7000" Maddie said, walking towards the fire.
"Hello" Heather said, looking at the fire still.
"So...something's happening" Maddie sat sitting down farther away from the fire.
"What's happening..?" Heather asked.
"Well..some people look like....I think the magic's gone a bit..haywire..? Or something like that.." Maddie explained sounding confused as she did.
"What..?" Heather asked, looking away from the fire and at Maddie.
"Yeah! It's real weird, so I'm just minding me own business in an undisclosed location wi-" Maddie suddenly gets cut off.
"In the castle with the princess?" Seth asked walking over closer to the girls.
"Yes..In the castle with Victoria..but then she tells us that she's been seeing guards magic going off the rails!" Maddie finished explaining.
"Well that's weird.." Heather said.
"Oh, yeah but not as weird as if your brother suddenly got a girlfriend!" Maddie said, somewhat joking.
"Hey! I could easily get a girlfriend!" Seth said, lightly slapping Maddie on the back of the head.
The door opened and a burnt and messy looking Mr. Stint walked into the house slamming the door behind him, he sighed. The people sat down turned to look at him.
"Uh..are you alright Dad..?" Heather asked.
"Well..I've been worse, but I've also been much better.." He replied, brushing some of the soot off of him.
"You look great Sir" Maddie said, trying to not laugh.
"Ah, I see we've got a guest..hello Madeline" Mr. Stint replied with a sigh.
"Hi." Maddie replied as she smiled and waved.
"Uhm..what happened Dad..?" Heather asked.
"Well..let's just say..I had a little accident with a wand.." Mr. Stint Replied as he looked down.
"Oh.." Heather replied.
"Yeah..not a good day for me..also damaged the floor a fair bit..I'll have to fix that later.." Mr. Stint said, while making his way to the stairs and going up them and out of sight.
"Well, that was something, wasn't it?" Maddie said, while wrapping her arm around Heather's shoulders.
"Uhm..yeah.." Seth replied, looking at Maddie, and more so Heather in concern.
"What? What's the mat-..oh..Oh!" Maddie said, looking at Heather who was now somewhat frozen. Maddie quickly jumped away.
"What did you do?" Seth asked her, now sounding more serious.
"Uhm..I touched her?" Maddie said, smiling awkwardly as she shrugged.
"You're gonna fix it, right?" He asked, once again, serious.
"Yeah! Yeah, of course!" Maddie replied, as she moved her hands in a weird way, followed by her touching Heather again, which only froze her more and then she sighed.
"Small problem.." She said as she looked back at Seth.
"And that would be?"
"It appears I can't undo my little mistake.." Maddie replied, Seth sighed.
"You're joking, right?" He said.
"Well...I don't find this humor that funny..." Maddie said, she shuffled back a bit.
"Well, if you're gonna be useless..I'll do it myself.." Seth said as he slightly raised his hand and an almost perfect double of him appeared next to him. He looked at the fire place for a second in confusion then turned to see the double.
"Oh..that's not what I meant to do.." He said as he tried again, only for another one to appear.
"Are you sure you mean I was useless?" Maddie asked as she smiled a bit.
"Yeah yeah..very funny.." He tried to do it again, and he got a small copy of some fire and he sighed in relief, and the flame went out. Then Maddie's eyes lit up and she just pushed Heather right at the fireplace, stopping her right in front of it.
"Ha! That's a thing called...uh..something, it's called something!" She said as she smiled proudly.
"You mean logic?" Seth asked.
"Yeah, that!" Maddie said.
Then footsteps came down the stairs and then.
"Why is my daughter frozen?" A not so happy Mr. Stint asked.
"He did it." Maddie said pointing at Seth.
"I did not! I can't make human ice cubes!" Seth replied.
Maddie gasped.
"How dare you, they're popsicles" Maddie replied pouting slightly.
Mr. Stint sighed.
"Okay, okay! I suppose my question should really be, why is she STILL Frozen?"
"Well..you see, Seth wasn't helping so I shoved her by the demonic thing you call a fireplace" Maddie replied.
"So, you're just going to do that? Nothing else? You couldn't think of anything quicker?" Mr. Stint replied as he sighed.
"Uhm, no." Maddie said, as she backed towards the door.
"Well, that's great..could've used your brain a little more Madeline.."
"I was thinking on the fly, I didn't know what to do!" Maddie replied.
"Yes, yes..it's fine, I'll fix it" Mr. Stint said as he rubbed his hands together.
"Perfect, because I've really got to go, it's getting late you know!" Maddie said as she rushed out the door, slamming it behind her.
Seth went over to his dad, who was helping heat up the still frozen Heather.
"Hey..dad what's happening..?" He asked.
"I'm not sure Seth..I'm not sure.."
