"Can you see if he texted me?" Sawyer asks from the driver's seat, keeping her focus on the highway ahead of her. Sawyer has a relatively large car meaning everyone was mostly comfortable. Gabbie, Jack, and Lavender were in the way back of the car. Ashton was in the passenger seat with Zach directly behind her. Christina was on Corbyn's lap who was next to Zach while Logan was on Daniel's lap who was behind Sawyer.

"Bub, this is the tenth time I've checked in the past five minutes," Ashton sighs, picking up the girl's phone again regardless. Clicking on the home button, Ashton sees nothing other than the girl's lock screen which was a picture of the couple. "Still nothing."

"Hypothetically, do you need a fifth member of the band? Can Ashton take Jonah's spot?" Logan asks, leaning against the headrest in front of her.

"Um yeah we kind of need Jonah," Daniel answers causing Logan to roll her eyes. "He has the ability to sing while Ashton doesn't."

"Listen up dickhead, at least when I sing my voice doesn't crack on every other word," Ashton counters while placing Sawyer's phone back in the holder.

"At least I know how to breathe properly and can sing on tune," Daniel retorts, cowering back when Ashton turns around suddenly. "Sucks to suck doesn't it, West?"

"I wouldn't know Seavey, I'm fucking fantastic," Ashton replies, a sarcastic smile adorning her face. "Now please shut the fuck up before the band has to replace two members instead of one."

"Zach, control your girl," Daniel mutters, looking to the younger boy who has no reaction.

"Sorry bro but I'm on her side, always," Zach responds causing all of the girls, minus Ashton, to aww.

"Alright, Jack? Corbyn? Help?" Daniel questions with a roll of his eyes.

"Daniel, you started the fight," Corbyn laughs, tightening his grip on Christina's waist slightly. "You got yourself into this mess, you can get yourself out."

"I also want to see my baby girl grow up and I can't if Ash kills me so..." Jack trails off, not taking his eyes off of Lavender who is fast asleep. "Good luck with that."

"Unreliable bandmates," Daniel grumbles, crossing his arms with a pout. Logan rolls her eyes and smacks him upside the head. "And now an unreliable girlfriend."

"Say that again and you won't even have a girlfriend," Logan replies causing Daniel's eyes to widen dramatically. He immediately wraps his arms around the girl on his lap, turning her face so he can kiss all over it. "Alright, alright, calm down."

"Can you check again?" Sawyer asks when there is a lull in the conversation. Ashton goes to argue but decides against it, taking the phone and checking once more to see the same thing.

"He's probably still in the meeting with management," Ashton sighs, tossing the phone in the center console while rubbing her eye tiredly. "He'll swing by the house after."

"Look, I know your all rainbows and sunshine because your boyfriend decided to finally acknowledge your existence in public but that doesn't mean you can suddenly give me relationship advice when yours is falling apart at the seams," Sawyer snaps causing Ashton's jaw to drop. The car is silent, no one knowing what to say next. Ashton purses her lips and looks out the window, not wanting to start a fight. "Can you check again?"

"Nope," Ashton simply answers, pulling her own phone out to distract herself. She makes sure it's on do not disturb so she won't see the incoming texts. The rest of the car ride is silent other than the light hum of the radio. Sawyer slowly pulls into the neighborhood that the boys and Ashton live in.

"I'll be back later when I don't want to shove my foot down Sawyer's throat," Ashton mumbles, pushing herself out of the car and slamming the door shut. Before anyone else can move the blonde walks into her house, slamming the door shut behind her.
